Short wheelbase Mark VIII on Ebay

If you look closely, you'll also notice the stripes on the passenger side are gone.. it might have been hit and had to be repaired.. the paint looks really fresh too.. this might explain why there are different rims on that side as well.


I do however really like the nose and hood. its looks good, I like how the fog's are molded into the nose cone. everything else looks regular, I dont like the interior and the pic of the carpet cut up behind the passenger seat.. I really dont like the console digging into the center of the back seat.
 
this car popped up years ago, i think it is a complete waste. the back seat is useless, the rear inside panels are all distorted and the speaker grills look like crap, it looks retarded i wouldnt want it!
 
If you guys read the ebay ad, you would see the explaination for mismatched tires/stripes. It comes with a complete set of octastars (1 bad tire) and 1 stock set. He painted one side with the stripe, but gives the option to remove or add the other one. There are no good interior or underside pics (which worries me a little). I would remove the back seat and put a custom fiberglass speaker system from one side to the other. That would look better than the current problem. :D

I LOVE the fog lights. It's the best setup i've seen yet. I wonder how much the car weighs without the 8 whole inches. He probably dropped less than 50lbs. with all that work, but i'm all about "different":cool:

I do like the hood and grill though.
 
I'd consider buying it at a bit lower price... I kinda like it. Although with the amount of work into it, I'd have chopped the top a couple inches.

I'd ditch the stripe, pull out the back seat, cover it with carpet and stick a couple N2O bottles there instead. It's definitely inspiring me to paint the interior strip in mine... just not as loud of a color. I like the fogs as well, I'd have set them in towards the middle of the car a little more though. The grille and hood look great.
 
LSC bumpers/trims, better lookin' black interior with back seat deleted in place of a carpet and 2 Nitrous bottles, black paint job, and a set of black FR500s would make it sweet...other than that damn Mark is hideous

I have often wondered what a Mark VIII would look like with a chopped top. It seems like all the effort that had to go into pulling 8" out of the length would have been better spent pulling that roofline down some.
 
Im surprised he left that car like that for so long.... I faintly remember him making a post here asking if we liked the stripe or didn't and left the 1 side like that so we could give him an answer. I like it tho reminds me of a bubble top from the early 60s. I would ditch the stripe get some nice wheels and get a stock style bumper cover for the front. I dont put people in my back seat anyhow so that parts no biggie to me.

+1. You couldn't give me that hacked up thing.

I couldn't see it holding up well in an accident, either.
 
All you'll need is a rear seat delete. Cut some weight out. That mark will be a good mod for Laser in his attempt to making a good cornering mark

That was to trick the police.....

Here's how it works. Cops are in a chase and say over the dispatch " We're in pursuit of a red Mark VIII with chrome rims going 130mph in a 15mph zone. I'm on his right side now...I'm going to go to the left side and try a pit maneuver. I'm switching to the left side now....wait....I think the other car is gone. This car doesn't have chrome rims he has regular painted rims. Let me go back to the other side....He has chrome rims on this side.....ohhh....lets call off the chase, maybe he's going this fast in hopes no one will see he has completely different rims on the car. This guys life fails already...lets not make it worse!"
