Sapperfires car is up for sale!

YouTube - Mickey Avalon - My Dick W/ Lyrics

wasn't talkin about Your tires, and if the coolant pipe replacement will float me till I get my taxes back, then yes I'll have more money and can get a motor from a smashed up daily driver, or a $150 block and rebuild it. That was the original plan anyway, I can still drive the car, but I know the motor needs to be changed..maybe I have delusions of grandour about this car, but it's MINE, no payments. When it breaks I fix it. Fixing a car is still cheaper than car notes..I can't do car notes anyway because I'm already paying a tool note.
Not tryin to throw stones in glass houses, but this crap happens every single year, always at this time of year. Holidays hate me and the feeling is mutual.
Don't get all thin skinned on me Jamie, I'm just bustin your balls man. When I get my Obama cash I'll be getting a motor, if you've got a decent one for sale then, then we can do buisiness if your up for crating another to Texas. If not, there always CL and JYs
Bill didn't have to do my timing for me, I've had the diagrams for some time now. Putting a zip tie around a chain to hold slack isn't doing timing.
I've been turnin wrenches since I could hold one, I've even changed out motors in a couple of old M60 Tanks. I grew up in a shop, made my own kid-car and learned to weld when I was about 8. 2 chainsaw motors and some dolleys and a few bicycle parts make 1 fast go-cart/lawn mower. Yeah I made brackets to bolt 2 push mowers on the back

Will you two chill the fock out! Bald tire comment was directed at me cause I have bald tires.
Now he has only bought one used motor and made back everything he spent on it plus enough to cover the new head gasket. Now I agree with a JY motor but if he properly checks one before pulling it then there shouldnt be a problem, just have to remember the motor is dry so spray WD40 in the sparkplug holes before cranking it to check compression.

Both of you (Jamie and Jeremy) are hard head mofos and are supposed to be friends so stop your bickering. Jeremy is mad for obvious reasons and calling each other names aint helping chit!

No I agree pulling the motor again just cause its down on some power due to low compression isnt really the best idea. I think he should get another decient motor but this time hold off on installing it untill it can be rebuilt and have a nice fresh engine in the bish. And I mean a proper rebuild. Hot tank and fluxed block with all new rings and bearings. Heads freshened up with new valve guides too.
Sure the current motor is only making a couple hundred horses but it works for now. Low compression and a SLIGHTLY ticking valve aint gonna make the motor grenade itself and will last for quite some time.

Thats just my .02

I see numb nuts posted while I did. So everyone be cool.

Jeremy I understand the want to keep that car, especially after all we've done.

Not to count my eggs before they hatch but if I get what I think I can get from this house then after the shop is opened I will be dumping another $8000 into my car with paint, leather, shocks, tires, rim straightening, Eddies bad ass air comp and nickle plating my wheels. Is the car worth that? To me, yes. Love the car, may as well make it perfect.

Good, then stop telling me to buy a Prius

these don't become nice cars until work is put into them, time and money, that's all...guess what, it's fun... And 200 years from now, it won't matter if I shoved 50 motors in it

The estrogen runs heavy in this thread. God damn when you and Jamie took pop-shots back and forth I could smell the puzzy. Relax, fix your :q:q:q:q and make fun of Jamie some more, it's hilarious. :D

I sold the junk motor, the motor that's in my car right this minute is still the same block and heads that were put in it when it was born, i did not rebuild that motor because I didn't have time to, or the money for internal stuff, nor do I own a set up kit for timing a 4.6dohc vailable from SnapOn for $760. I live paycheck to paycheck, my checks have been roughly 400 every 2 weeks, my rent and lights run 700 month, my wife works part time @ min wage at a fast food place. So some basic math should tell you about how many dollars I have to toss around on car parts. I also work 6 days a week and still barely hit 40, yes I know, I need a new job...or we need to get a SHOP and do this for other people...OH WAIT! People don't pay to fix cars....damn I almost forgot

I'm not buying specialty tools when I can rent them. Do you advertise on Craigslist for your services?

Yea normally I do have an ad on cl for work, lately I haven't because my time has been going to my car, I've got lots of "friends" that send buisiness my way, so even if I don't have an ad up, Im still busy.

None of the auto stores has the set, it's not some random kit, have you ever seen it? I tried to get it from Matco, and he couldn't even find the right one

I agree with Laser 100%. Its your car man and there are some things people dont consider. For one, a beater car would probably be about 1000bux, I guess depending if you sold your car for some coin then that would be feesible but that also takes the time to sell your car, then time to find your beater. Also you have to tag a new car and fix the usual immediate problems that you didnt know the car had in the first place. In the end you may/may not come out ahead, depending on how much you got for your car. Engines dont blow up all the time, this is a once or twice in a car's lifetime kind of thing... I say keep your car, dont listen to people telling you to sell it because in the end its your decision and you are going to do what works best for you. You are so lucky to have a friend like bill that seems to be right there next to you at the drop of a hat, thats great. Many people dont find friends like that often. It'll suck for a little while, but all of life cant be easy, there just has to be :q:q:q:q built in along the way. It seems that holidays are a bit touchy for a lot of people lately. I personally had the wind taken out of my sails in a big way, and for that my wife and I are not doing xmas gifts, but at the end of the day I am truly happy because I am healthy, I have a job, and I love my wife. Things all work out in the end. I hope things work out for you, you seem like you work your ass off to try to make ends meet, as apposed to the people that complain just the same but wont work to fix it. I dont believe there is anything wrong with a JY motor, as long as you do a comp test and everything seems good. Do what ya gotta do and we will see new progress before you know it... Good luck man, I really hope you can fix it.

Do you have your compression issue and the tick on the same side, will the junkyards you go to just let you pull a head? Not sure though if the expense of the head + gaskets + head bolts might cost the same as a motor assy, just curios...

Opposite sides. Motors shot. Car spent the first 100K+ miles of its life on the same oil, no joke.

hey sap i know your not in the market for one of these right now but for your future reference here is the cam timing kit you so desire. :D

If I pimp myself out to 10 fat chicks I bet I can afford one!

Although the girl in the pic isn't exactly skinny she really isn't a fatty. I think we all know what really needed to be posted:
