run in with a brand new eclipse

Yea so as gay as this may sound those new eclipse's are apparently pretty quick....ran into one on the way to work this morning..light goes green and i wasn't 100% sure if he was going to go for it so after he jumped me i floored it resulting in ALOT of tire spin...by the end of first gear i almost caught him...shifted and jumped even....then second gear was me pulling away....but still i was suprised how long it took me to pull away from him.......i googled them they're a 14.6 car????

I was racing an eclipse once, he had a turbo with the intercopler. He looked pretty surprised when my bone stock (at the time) mark viii was keeping pace with him
