Really stupid Q about PCV.

Where doe the PCV vacuum end attach? Pre TB or direct to intake port? Something tells me mine is wrong. I thought about it the other day when I remembered the unused vacuum port by the TB I blocked off.
 
I thought that was breather (no valve, just connecting tube to crank case).
 
The Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve connects via rubber elbow, to a plastic tube which runs to a 3 port rubber connector. The bottom of which sits on a port which is part of the throttle body.

The 2nd gen pic looks easy to figure out, but that 1st gen one doesn't show where the 6B899 part goes :(
 
Ok. On the Gen 1 is looks like some of this vacuum stuff goes pre-TB. But on the Gen II it goes to manifold - yet it could have internal porting like on my intake, and in fact still end up at or pre-TB.

I am asking cause I cant shake a fuel/air issue. No leaks, dumped plenty of starting fluid on the engine.

Something is off and I think its my custom vacuum setup. I guess what I really need is the vacuum layouts for a 2004 Cobra or better yet, Mach (although should be the same). Anyone have those?
 
Oh, and by "pre-TB" I mean a port at the TB. Not sure if its really pre TB or not. I just recall a vacuum port right next to the TB or on it in a Gen I.
 
Edited for content: 6B899 on the first pic is the 3 port rubber connector. It sits on a port, which is part of the throttle body. Drivers side. Also, I edited my first post so we are all on the same page. :)
 
Bastard. Now I am confused... lol

I really should get a Cobra service manual since that is pretty much what I have...
 
So are you saying you have a 96-98 cobra intake manifold installed? Why not just ask max to post that picture instead?
 
No, I do not have a 96-98 Cobra manifold installed, or even a Cobra manifold.

It actually plugs directly into the TB Base.. its extremely identifiable.. Duh, this has already been covered if I actually had read this I would have known..

Cool. I have the 04 Aviator engine with Mach intake. Should look identical. I'll take some pics though of the port in question and other stuff. It was more or less done to get it running. But like I said, I have always had fuel/air issues it seems. I have Pro Racer software now so I am determined to dial it in. (as best I can without a WB)

1st pic: PVC line to intake.

2nd pic: Vacuum port near TB. Thought it was closer... forgot I am using it for brake boost! So it in use, just not sure if thats what I should use.

3rd pic: General vacuum port for everything else. The pic is obviously sideways. To the bottom (or left) is HVAC vac and fuel pressure off a split factory fitting. To the top (or right) is the large black tube for EVAP.
 
With mine I used open breathers for the pcv. Where you have your pcv I blocked off. The booster is run off the port on the rear of the intake hat and the other vacumn lines are run off the port by the TB.
