10 m/d (but average over 20k per year) Mostly Highway

Performance with Economy

They Stopped Making Them!!- Cheap buttons on the early modles!!

Have to give it a 5 as it's the best car I've had!!! I have nothing to complain about yet!

Delet the 94 add it to Scott9050's list and then Add a 95 Mark VIII to this thread!

Sweet 16!!! 8 + 8 = 16 LOL

1993 purple
25 Male
6 City / 19 Highway Miles a day

Pros: A used one is a great value for the $; Engine is powerful and durable, love the wrap-around dash, leather interior comes standard; 12 year old car still gets compliments from the ladies.

159,000 miles and engine still runs well.

Cons: Poor foresight in headlight design

Rating: *****

Hehehe...when I was 16, my first car was a Ford Maverick -- bright orange with a ratty black cloth interior -- it looked like Halloween on wheels and not at ALL like the snazzy pix you posted of YOUR first ride. So even though in your garage profile you say "i know my Mark isnt anything special", trust me, that's NOT true. It may not be all tricked out like some of the Marks in this forum, but that doesn't mean it's not special -- coz it IS.

BTW:

[1] 98 silverfrost/light graphite LSC with 30K
[2] 44 y.o. male (who feels like a kid again every time I stomp the accelerator)
[3] 100 miles a week at app. 18 mpg in & around metro Phoenix
[4] LOVE the lights at night -- from puddle to HID's to neon to cockpit
[5] HATE the Lincoln lasagna -- I can see a coupla ripples rearing their ugly head
[6] *****

'94 base was: now 96 LSC
female, yeah right
15-25 city/hwy 28mpg avg, I only live 5mls from work, I take the long way :)
Nothin' like sitting my booty on soft leather - strapped to sheer power.
TRUNK OPENING! 1 cup holder, I miss the foot rest, my 96 don't have one ;(
*****Keep these babies running, I don't want to ride anything else!

-1996 Red Mark VIII 97k miles
-M 19
-40 miles/day mainly city
-Looks, performance, quality--I've only had it for a month, this thing is WAY better in every aspect compared to my '94 T-Bird V8
-Headlights but who cares-if I ever need good light thats what high beams are for
-*****

- Out of the five cars I have owned, this is BY FAR the best in every aspect, my dream car, I have always wanted one, absolutely love it.

Mark Survey

97 Mk VIII, Cordovon Red (3rd one I've owned 96, 98 previous)
Male, 45
15-20 miles perday
Look, feel, speed, used car price can't be beat
Tranny shudder, Blend door prob (should have been recalls)
4 (l love them, but would have difficulty recommending them to anyone who doesn't make a bunch of money because the repairs stink) Ooops, don't tell my sister that!

-97, Pewter Grey
-Male, 26
-~50/day (when it was moving, it was the daily driver)
-HID's, Heated seats, and its not a mustang
-The price of go fast goodies.. stupid mod motors, lack of spark plug threads in the heads, my ugly 'rare' color
-**** cause i dont like not having a "No Leather Interior" option.. i dont like leather..

-1995 Base
-Male, 18
-Anywhere from 0-50, it's all different
-I like the potential this car has to be a total beast, the comfort, and powerful motor
-People underestimate it, BIG TIME... also the lack of room in the backseats sometimes
*****

ya know, I've never really "just" sat back there.....never noticed a lack of room either...., ahhh, ya gotta push the front seats up.

Didin't know the back wasn't ment for real passengers, they just mess things up anyway (nice for trunk wieghts though).

About 50 miles a day work and back, gotta give it its workout :steering

the granpa look with hidden secrets, all the luxury for the price, best driver seat/dash setup, everything is in reach and simple, screw the passenger, lol

Air suspension...desert is gonna kill it  , oh and the 'lasagna' effect...

Polling Mark VIII Owners
I'd change the questions a little bit:

-year/model
-male or female and age
-miles you drive per day and what type of driving (city/highway)
-what you like best about the MarkVIII
-what you dislike the most about the MarkVIII
-rating of your Mark : use a 5 star * system, 1 being poor (would never buy again), 3 average and 5 best.

'93 and '98: The 2 best years.
Somewhere north of 40.
150miles/day... 20/80 city/highway mix. 28mpg highway
Ride'n with Class, Style and Attitude
Lack of wagon pulling Torque
***** without question
98 PEARL OFF/WHITE TRICOAT
WIFE BABY49 YEARS YOUNG
75 + PER DAY ABOUT/HIGHWAY 26 MPG
LUXURY SPORT/MUSCLE RESPONSE
BRAKE/GAS PEDAL SPACING
5 STAR

-1994 Mark VIII with Dark Portofino Blue outside and Portofino Blue interior
-Male 21
-I average 40 miles a day b/c I take long commutes to Chicago from Iowa City every so often.
-I like the looks, performance, comfort, and that it is pretty unique (I see more Corvettes than Marks)
-I don't like my transmission, my air suspension, or the rust that is starting to form because I'm paying for all of that right now and I'm not rich.
- 4.5/5 Stars simply because this is starting to become expensive to repair but I would never give it up because I love this thing.
