Painting stock side skirts, rear and front valence

I will see what the 20s look like without a drop.. And that is if I still have then and not the Milles.. :D

I'm sure I will anyways so that the suspension will work with me and the SC..

lol im pretty sure youll want the drop. looks sooooooo much better

Im going to have to agree with the guy who does your painting. If you keep your car as nice as it looks in the pics, you will not be happy with how it turns out. There is really no way to smooth out that texture to make it look good.

A lot of primer and sanding.

bondo and filler primer would be about equivalent, other then bondo weighing more.

B ondo is a bad idea on the rocker panels. They will chip like hell. No flex in bondo.

Use some filler primier and primier. Sand them as smooth as possible. Since thay are low on the car. The texture surface will not stick out so much. The more prep you put into them, the better they will turn out. Don't take any shortcuts. You will rgret it later. Just my $.02.

OMG! i only see one back up sensor! dude....

nice shots

dammm that looks dammm good. Ill see what my guy says. I might as well just wait for nice weather tho, specially considering how low my car is.

If your worried about scraping on snow or what not I guess you should wait. I had mine done last winter, but I don't usually drive the car in the winter too much.

As long as the roads are plowed the first few days so the paint can cure, I don't think you'll have any issues. I had front / rear bumpers repainted at the same time they did the side skirts... It was about $800.

It was about $800.

well i got a quote today...$500, this includes, mclaren, rear surround, side skirts, lower grille(black), and installing and color matching my mach 1 lip.

i told him to just do the mclaren for now. he had some pearl white paint laying around (for a lexus) and hes going to try to match it as best as possible. Even if it doesnt match perfectly, hes going to do it for free, so i couldnt say no.

what do you guys think about the price tho?

That price is for prep & paint, right? That's a good price if it's for everything.

Yea that's for everything. He told me paint alone for my car is like $150, and that's just for pearl

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Jump on it, before he goes out of business or changes his mind on the price ;) (wait until after you get the McLaren done.... make sure he can match the pearl well, its not the easiest color)

Hey Silver LS, your color matched skirts looked sweet in person. In that first pic I see a calendar on the garage wall. At first I thought it might be the LVC calendar but that picture was taken before.

$500 for all of that is a good deal!
I figured it was. i just dont have all that money to have it done right now but i will sometime in march, assuming the weather is nice by then.

If he has tri-coat, that is normal
yup i have tri-coat, same as alex

hes my friend so im not too worried. And i will jump on it, but not just yet. We made a deal. He did my mclaren for free, if i went back when the weather got nicer and had everything done. Its not a perfect match but itll do for now:
