One problem down a million more to go...

True, but I would be a lot more daring with things...kind of like when you said to drop the K-member for the ds valve cover. I wouldn't have thought twice if it was on a lift, but I'm just not confident with it on stands (especially since my parking area is on a major slant).

But you are right, I need to get the book and start reading ;)

Counselor, you were never advised to "drop the K-member", you were advised to remove the lower motor mount bolt to facilitate jacking up one side of the engine. You are assuming facts not in evidence. :shifty:

That's no excuse. A lift and air just makes things easier, it doesn't make you smarter. :p

Get a factory shop manual and start reading. ;)
Very true. I have air tools but find myself not using them very often and I will tackle anything short of machining cause I dont have the tools for it. Would be WONDERFULL to have a lift but it wont allow me to do anything my jack and jackstands wont do as far as repairs go.

Oh yeah...:shifty::p

Laser the difference is I'm a puss with going under the car on jackstands when I put the car up. If the car was on a lift I would be so much more willing to tackle things and would have a field day to work on the car. Matter of fact I'd probably be under the car 3 times a week just for the hell of it.

I had air tools before also but gave them up because they were pointless without a lift to me.

What type of games? And have you tried a SVT focus pump yet?

SVT Focus pump is what I am having put in, and I am tracking down the rest of the parts I need for my Cobra intake swap which DLF will be doing.
As far as games (gets ready for Laser type pics), my first one is a 48-1 Multigame which was converted from a Neo Geo cab. I have replaced the joysticks, replaced the monitor with a bigger CRT unit and repainted it.

This was the monitor being tested:

Next one is a 4 slot Neo Geo that I bought from a collector locally. I have 6 Original Neo Geo carts including King of Monsters and Samurai Shodown along with a 120-1 cart. Only thing I have done to it is adjust the monitor settings and remount the remote monitor pots. It is a good solid cab that already had the monitor rebuilt with a new flyback and cap kit and the unit has a new power supply:

My third is a 1981 Make Trax cocktail game that I picked up for $75. I got it so cheap because the screen was scrambled and they had no keys to get in. The guy even delivered it to my house for free. The cabinet is solid and the artwork nearly perfect. I drilled the locks out and pulled the monitor. While out I adjusted the pots and got it working. With a little tweaking I have it nearly perfect:

With some adjusting:

Then I have the gun hobby :

I also within the past few month started learning about photography and picked up a Canon Rebel Xsi and starter kit. All of these along with the car hobby is getting expensive:lol:. It is also making me neglect my metal detecting and coin collecting hobbies.

Looks like fun! Classic arcade games are always fun. If I ever have the room I've always wanted an Afterburner arcade game....the one where you sit in it and it rotates. That and Operation Wolf. Classic games.

I just got into the gun hobby too, but funds have kept me from expanding my collection (we bought a Ruger 9mm a few months ago).

To bad you didn't live closer we have a lot in common (when we're not bickering at each other) ;) HAHAHA

The SVT pump seems to work good. Switch all the internals from the SVT pump over to the stock basket. DLF will be able to better explain it. That's the one thing I actually did myself on the car when Jamie had it. Jamie soldered the wires, but I changed everything over on it.

Operation Wolf can usually be had for pretty dirt cheap. I've seen working games for $100-$150. The Afterburner Cockpit would probably be a bit more.

I've been shooting for over 30 years but sold off most of my guns before my daughter was born. I just started back up for real a few years back and have been slowly building up the collection. I even managed to get my wife to the range to shoot, and she had never held a gun before.

It's just the net, I don't take it too seriously. If you ever do make it up toward D.C. I will take you to the range for a few hours and we can throw a thousand rounds of .40 down range. Last time a buddy and I went it only took us 2 hours to do so.

With work taking me 6 days a week lately and not wanting to lay out in 100 degree heat on my only day off, I have the guys at Excessive Motorsports swapping it in for me. I hope it runs much better when I get it back, the damn taking 5 seconds to start crap has to end.
