So today I installed my zex kit, starting out with a 75 shot. I pulled into the bay at work and start going to town. Lines to run, wires to find, etc etc etc.
I tested it and plumes of nitrous shot out of the lines like plumes of glorious bluish furry!
Wet shot, but it didn't emit any fuel.
Hmmm all points aside.. First things first..
Now that I have you enticed...
I didn't even spray because of the fuel not being apparent put everything back together started the car and it ran like absolute dog crap.
Drove to a buddies house with no power in SUPER limp mode. Rattling like a diesel truck, I pull the codes and we have...
1) IAT temp to high
2) O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2
3) Cylinder 4 misfire
4) and the whopper Manufacturer Air/Fuel metering blah wtf? I don't even know what the last one means! MAF? I suppose?
I cleared codes went for the drive, and the only one that hasn't returned yet is the IAT.. Still ran like poop.
Any ideas anyone? Car ran like gravy previously and when checking for fuel leaks I ran for about 30secs with no intake but I find that hardly harmful. Of course I supposed no intake no MAF, no IAT run super rich take out cylinder 4 plug or coil and then foul the o2 sensor but really? Is this a possiblity, maybe in horrible luck land? but really?
Next stop pulling the battery cable and making sure things are cleared from the cars memory for GOOD. Then see where that puts me.
I love the looks of the lincoln only disliked it's lack of performance, but sorry to say to the FORD lovers out there... it's a pos. I told myself no more ford products after the Sable but atlas here I am.. 4 coil packs later.. Well this would be 5..
I am afraid to drive in high heat, cause all them plastic body clips would melt and then I would just have a pile of pieces with about 10 screws.
