98 Lsc, no start, key on I have all electrical functions, turn key to run and click, sounds behind dash fuse panel above hood release.. Starter relay?

Or is that a security relay?

Yay started...somethin electrical in there is goin out

Ugh, give all the info dumbass!

Car wont start, only click if the headlights are on. Theft light flashes rapidly.

New issue. Car wont start in park but will in "N".

He dont come over any more so I cant check it out to determin if its the PATS or if its the safety switch.

Anti theft is flashing if key is not in and not armed, stead on when armed. Key to on antitheft light goes out.

Car will not start from neutral now either

I can't come out when I have work to do, move closer and help

Tools and testers are loaded in my car. See ya in an hour.

Can you do away with the antitheft module like you can on a gen 1 or does 98 have PATs?

It began not starting in park or neutral, turned out to be bad a connection at the starter, thanks for comin with the testers mang

No problem mang.

Yeah everyone, I tested the battery and it was strong then I tested the relay and saw it was energizing so I jacked it up and wiggled the connections on the starter and she started right up.
The connections are not even covered in dirt but I guess where they contact has a little carbon build up un the solinoid so Sapper will pull off the line and clean it since his gearwrenches make it a bit easier to remove.

Thanks for the dinner mang! Had fun with your kids too. Kinda worried about the eldest and her figuring she can just grow steak if she was in the wild.

You should have tested the driver. Im sure you would have found some serious problems though.

Buggy intermittent issues are the best!

I just fixed a similar no start on a kia... ended up being the shifter bushing oddly enough.

My car started life as a rental car, it used regular steel keys. The car fax had it as q rental first, dont remember what company though.

So today I got it up on the lift and tightened the starter connections better, the solenoid post is wiggly, so it's broke, will throw the spare starter from the Gman car in it soon
