Hey guys,

I've been lurking around here for a few months now, as my dad bought a '97 LSC in December. I just got my own Mark after selling my (crappy SOHC) Mustang...

It's a 94, black on black. It does have the snowflakes... but they're in overall nice condition, and I'm thinking of painting the little "y-spokes" black like I saw for some anniversary Cougar...

Anyway, pics to come tomorrow, and I'm glad to become part of this community.

Welcome, looking forward to seeing the pics. Which year Mustang did you upgrade from?

Ha, I upgraded from an '04 Mustang GT. Had 101k when I sold it... just picked up the Mark with 59,000 and change on the clock. I do love it... I'd always be stealing my dad's '97 when he didn't have to go anywhere, so he convinced me to go get my own.

My first Mark was a 94 too, with snowflakes. I ended up putting Octastars on it a few years later. This is what it looked like when I got it for $1500 and rust free. It had always been a Southern car but now it's crushed because it blew up and caught on fire, my fault, not the car...

Had just started converting it over to an LSC clone.

Installed a 98 trans in after some trans internal modifications.

Shortly after that, it was running funny but nothing to do with the trans. It was doing this before that swap. I messed up on an injector swap and ended up with this.

So now I have the 95 which I bought within days of the black one exploding. Slowly getting it to where I want it.

Good luck with it. I think you'll like it better than the Mustang.

Nolimit, it's funny, mine has the ugly pinstriping too... how did you remove yours? And I'll try not to blow mine up.

Those Octastars looked really nice on that car... hmm...

I used a pin stripe removing wheel and a cordless drill. Took me every bit of 35 to 45 min to spin them off and then took an orbital buffer with some polish on the pad and it looked like new. That wheel burned in the fire because it was in the garage but if I still had it, I'd send it to you. I have no clue who made it but it's like a polyurethane type rubber wheel.

nolimit,
i finally got that horrific murder scene out of my head and now its back :(

I guess you could call that murder. I never looked at it like that but it did feel like I lost a family member lol. I'm still rolling in it's interior so, I feel like I'm still inside it.:p I'll "warn" next time Mike. :shifty:

Welcome to LVC...this forum is like the pornsite for mark viiis...got every info you need here for your mark viii needs

welcome! Lets see some pics of it, sounds like it'll be clean if it's only got 59K on it..sounds like a clone to my dad's friends car who also has a low mile black 94 that he's had for 12 years or so..

Ah, got it. Pics, finally. I'm no pro-photographer.. and yes, I know the 10-spoke on the '97 is backwards.

Looks like someone took care of that car. Very clean and the front bumper was like mine, not drilled out for a plate holder. It had indention's to show where to drill but no actual holes. I do still have the black front cover off the 93 or the 94 but neither of them were drilled either. I wished that one was setting in my garage right now. I'd be looking for another set of Octi's for it.
