My name Josh, live in Wisconsin, some of you may know me on the MN12 boards (TCCoA & SCCoA). I sold my 96 Thunderbird Sport early this summer and looking to buy a Mark VIII LSC here in the next year or so. Right now helping a guy build up his base 98 Mark VIII. So you might see me asking some questions.

I know one guy on here has a custom cowl hood on his 97-98, but is he the only one? Anyone else make a cowl hood for there 97-98 Mark VIII? Could the 93-96 cowl hood work on the 97-98 with a little tweeking?

There are a few customs cowls and front ends ect search around.

Are you looking for a Gen1 or gen2?

Welcome to LVC Josh. You will have fun here. Main thing here is to always try your best to search for your answer before asking. Most likely it has been covered well over a trillion times but..... sometimes you just gotta ask.

Welcome Oxman, I've been here for about 6 weeks & I feel right at home. Everyone's very helpful & super cool. I too was a former Bird owner, HUGE TCCoA member back in 2001-2004. Sold the Bird in 2003 & 6 years later I finally bought the Mark VIII. You won't regret it. It's like owning a T-Bird on steroids

Right now need to pay off debt, get my career job, house and then get the car I've always wanted...Mark VIII LSC

i remember that car, i saw you at the tccoa midwest bash at GLD in 05, beautiful car!!!!
i was the silver, stock, gen2 markviii.

Plus I host a National LvC meet every July...

Nice to know, on the other boards I feel like the only active member from my state, gald there's some Swissconsin members on here.
 
Welcome to LVC!!! You would be surprised how affordable Mark VIII's are getting. I drove home a navy blue 97 LSC a month ago for $400. The deals are out there. :D
 
glad to have you aboard...i've looked all over for a second gen hood and there just isn't anything out there unless you make it.
 
Yeah I think you're right, but I really like what blue_t did, very nice work on that cowl hood, would like to have something like that on my Mark VIII

what did blue t do? got a pic? I'm trying to figure out what to do for a hood right now actually
