Got the mufflers installed monday morning... $127 for muffler install only, a lot more than I would have liked to have spent, but the installation is flawless. It will be another $80 to get the x-pipe installed, so that is going to wait a few weeks. Borla XS Pros, same as what was on Laser's white car. All I asked of them was to make sure the tips were in the exact location they were with the stock exhaust. Worth the money I guess...

The mufflers were $195 for the pair shipped.

Good thing you shut the trunk, it would have sounded alot worse with it open.

For serious though, I do like the exhaust not, just not the volume. I like LOUD exhaust myself.

Ya, lol... that's my supercharger. It isn't as loud as I wished, however I think with the x-pipe on it, it will get louder. AND, you gotta see that sweet ass, the trunk open woulda ruined it.

damn, thats how i shoulda done my exhaust setup, woulda been a lot cleaner than what i did, and i used some thrush turbos on mine, not a bad sound. someday i'll get around to posting it...maybe, haha

i like the tone also, little too quiet though, for me anyway, but i will admit loud is annoying but thats how i am too so loud fits me! looks good though danno!

Should the x-pipe help make it a little louder? It's interesting too though, you can look straight through the mufflers, they aren't chambered. Figured it would be louder...

the x pipe will change the note for sure, it may end up a hair louder since you will be eliminating a cat, but the x will help it flow better as well, my 98 with no X and straight pipe was a dog, my 97 with the headers and X is way more animal than my 98 was. my 98 was very loud though. and horribly droney!

I love the sound of Borla cans. Best one out there IMHO.

Thing with the Borlas is with an X pipe and when on the stupid pedal they get pretty dang loud. When mine was on the dyno and spooled up the guys in the shop couldnt believe it was the Mark, they thought a Cobra was on the rollers.

Sounds good I found a couple near new magnaflows that were on a cobra with inlet and outlet offset same side mufflers tucked nice into massive stock muffler area and also used my stock lsc tips but I brought my tips out past the bumper instead of tucked

Your car will be louder once you delete 3rd cat especially under load mine was way louder once deleted

Those mufflers look a lot like the magnaflows on my car. Also deleting the 3rd cat will definitely make it louder and you'll gain some power too. Those things are hella restrictive.
