Need cover shots for calendar. Photoshopping is alloud. Get creative. Have fun guys.

Last years cover for example.

I would rather have mine on the cover than in the actual calendar. I have never entered none of the Marks. The 93 wasn't around long enough because my dad had it t-boned within 2 months and I never entered the 94 and not sure that I'll enter the 95. If I can find the right spot to get some pics with the right background, I might get it in there. If it ends up snagging a month, then good but if not, then that's ok too. I'm not a sore loser. I wished North Alabama had palm trees. :D They help so much with backgrounds IMO.

I never knew anyone was mad about the last cover either. It looks ok to me. What was the problem with it? I guess I didn't know because I wasn't entered and didn't even buy one when they were out for sale. I'll get one this year though.

Just wonderin' what you guys think and if you'd like me to head further down this road.

Smiley faces for your thoughts.

Cheers,
Laurie

Thanks, UltimateSVT. I agree. I'd really like to find a better Gen I pic. Maybe I could just ask for submissions if more people like it enough?

UltimateSVT, I havent' been following but do you still have your black 93? Either way that was one of the sickest Gen 1's I've ever seen to be honest, it should be on the cover lol

As everyone knows, these calendars will end up being posted in different places.
In our homes, school lockers, garages and in some places like my work
for instance where its seen by people who may not be as familiar with our
Mark VIIIs (and LS'es) as we are. Its a great way to showcase our pride and joy.

It might be a great idea to include one or two interior and engine
thumbnail shots in the cover. Just a suggestion for the calendar cover artists.

To be honest, I think the Mark has one of the Best, if not, the Best
looking interior of any sedan made today. What better way for others to
see what we drive, inside and out.

I completely agree on all accounts. I LOVE Mark engines and you are SO right about the interior. There are some sweet interior shots running around out there, too. I'd be nice to get people to start putting up some high quality photos here so that those of us who are brave enough to take on this cover have some cool stuff to work with. Thanks for the suggestions!!! :)

Ill shoot a better one tomorrow

Try to find as uncorrupted a background as you can, sir. The more reflections and gizmos that surround the car, the more editing is required. :p

Thanks so much and do look forward to your photo shoot!!!!

Cheers

This has been my desktop pic since may.

Oh SWEEEET!!!!!!! I'll see what I can do with this. Would you happen to have a color version? Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing b/w, but most images will have some color. I can add some if not ;)

Beautiful picture and thanks so much for sharing :D

This particular picture was taken from the guy that did the work to the car. If you are not familiar with the build you might enjoy this thread http://www.lincolnsofdistinction.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=34233.

I can ask for a color version. He did post one in the MarkVIII calander Thread that is color but has a filter on it. http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showpost.php?p=2037220791&postcount=24

Oh ya. The filter works extremely well, too. So tasteful. Thanks, Warden!

P.S. Holy cow! Those build pics are gorgeous. Thanks for the link :p

Good evening guys. Made some more progress on the cover and intend to include some additional beauty shots of interior/engine and other fun bits. Just thought I'd share ;)

That looks really cool, nice work

Just a thought, idk if you could do it or not, but what about maybe some tire smoke behind one of the two cars like it's doing a burnout? Just a thought
