Sorry to hear about that Driller.


I had 14K on my F250 rolling up I-70 out of Denver last spring. For those that don't know, It's a pretty steep incline for a few miles, that most under powered vehicles can't do the speed limit.

Anywho, I'm running up this grade with the cruise control on at 70 MPH, and this jerk off in a toyota corolla whips into my lane and tries to speed up from around 50. Here I am with 10.5 tons with the truck and trailer and bearing down on this little tin box.


The ONLY thing that saved HIS life was the trailer brakes. I would have just rolled him over had I not had them.

Likely not really worth it. It was in Anderson, SC - quite a way to travel from northern WV. The fine is cheaper than the gas to get to court and back. My license is clean so any points aren't gonna bother me. From what I understand, I can plead no contest and pay the fine online. AAA is paying most if not all of the tow, rental car, hotel and meals. I'm still waiting on the final results from the insurance company.

The boss wasn't happy about it though. :(

Just pay 5 dollars more than the fine, when they send u a refund check, do not cash it, the tickets stays open and they cant put it on your driving record! Where is the track meet in maryland?

Trust me, she was none too happy having to drive the rental all the way back. I'll give her credit, she's a team player when she has to be. :)

LOL, we were on our way to the SSHS8 in Atlanta - Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA.
 
i am in frederick, that strech of highway looked like 81, and when i saw the plates i assumed u were in WV

Yeah its sucks, the law expects you too keep safe distance - what about the moron that invades your space, you can keep trying to "maintain safe distance" and never get outta town cause morons just keep busting in front of you.

Bags never came out huh - well that saves a few thousand. Im thinkin cause the impact was high, not close to the sensors in the bumper??

Well, you got to see NYC, so that made it all worth the trip!! ;)
