Alright guys, turns out my dad had a nice card up his sleeve that benefited me a whole lot... He knew my passion for these Mark VIII's & was tired of seeing me with high mileage Marks. He decides to basically tell me to pack my bags as we were headed to the West Coast of Florida to look at a good 6 cars he had seen on Craigslist. None of which I knew what they were. He knows I like classy cars & that's what he went with. We saw 3 Mark VIII's & one El Dorado. When we came across this car we knew we needed to look no further. We found this car in Brandon, FL. Formerly owned by a senior citizen (retired Marine), then purchased by a man that simply needed a reliable car however he was in desperate need of a van since he wants to travel the US to shoot video & be able to sleep in his van from time to time. Turns out the guy had posted this car here on LVC a few weeks back for a couple grand higher than I got it for. Go figure.

Below are some pictures I took today of the car. The car came with silver 10 spokes which I already swapped with the chrome 10 spokes that were in my cordovan car. I will be selling my cordovan car in a week or so.

Most amazing MPG I've seen on a V8. Spent only 8 gallons of fuel from Tampa - Miami.

If the pieces are still there for the seat control panel it can be fixed. Mine was busted just as bad if not worse when I bought mine and just used some permatex plastic abs epoxy found a your local auto parts place. Sand the 2 pieces you're mating and slather it on. Mines held for 4 years and i'm no small boy at 6'3" 250lbs. Even the short time I was at 280+ it held just fine.

The color would get some getting used to but dam does that look clean. Great buy for what you paid, no question about it.

Miles? And do you now have to sell all your other marks?

Yes, I'm going to sell the cordovan97 Mark VIII & the blue 93.

Very Clean and nice. Like that color:D

Really? I don't understand how you could like this color. Lol

I'm going to look into that because everythings there, it just cracked! Might do that tomorrow after I get home in the afternoon.

That's a beautiful Mark VIII you have there. Infact, it's perhaps the same as mine if the color code is BA(Light Prairie Tan Pearl). Only real difference with mine is I have the alloy stock wheels and isn't as clean as yours.

Congrats on the purchase!!! :D

yea you guys keep saying that you guys get 23 and 24 miles to the gallon. but i get ~30-32 mpg highway. (cruise control) ~28-30 mpg non cruise control. (62,XXX miles on car)

1st gens always get better gas mileage its been proven countless times dont know why.

That right there makes my brain spin... Jamie I trust your statement because for too many years you ate, breathed & slept Mark VIII's... My 93 needs a tune up badly! I do 18-21mpg (highway) on my 93 (9-12mpg, street). My cordovan 97 was doing 23 mpg highway before I stopped driving it & this new 97 does 29-30mpg highway (15mpg street).

just ask rich about what my old 93 gets, specially since he did a tune up the first gens always do better.

Excellent buy. Savings in gas alone should make up the cost. The most mine gets is 26 mpg. Still good.

All you need is some 24" and rap music to go with all that bling!!!!!!! I kidd I kidd nice color.

I've had two stock !st generations in the past and both got around 28 mpg. The supercharged, 3800 stall, and 4:10 gears still is in the low 20's. Like 23mph highway. But all of them dropped to around 16mpg in town. My Fusion has been getting around 25 in town.

Maybe the tun of the base model is more conservative and of course the taller gearing helps in MPG's...
