ok, i have been looking for like a year for this car. i found a 1997 Mark VIII, black on black, with the moonroof and heated seats which was big for me. and i wanted one with low miles, this one has 30k on it! it looks like it did when it rolled off the assembly line... the only thing is i cant get the guy lower than 11,000.. is this worth it? i dont want to get screwed but man i want this car!! please help!!!

only if it comes with 3 more just like it.

If you like it, and feel its worth the money then buy it. Everybody on here knows Marks can be had for cheap, id find another car if it was up to me.

i'd find another one with 50-80k for around $4-5k...after that you have 6k to throw around...gears,tune,exhuast,rims/tires,tint, stereo and to fix anything thats needs maintnence.

maybe throw 6500 cash in his face. Will he take it? prob not...
Tell him its a 12 year old car, blah blah, blah..pp bluebook max in perfect shape is 6k on both kbb and nada.

are you guys sure? can someone else find a clean black on black with under 80k on it for much cheaper? i mean i could also buy a very clean one in st louis for 7600, but with shipping it would be 8600 and i would have to worry about getting screwed and buying it without seeing it in person. or i could fly out and drive it 20 hours back but that would still cost the same as to just ship it. for 2400 more i can get one local and have one with 30K on it?? i know it is a little high, but i think only by a few thousand and at that i think its because of the color combo. there is NO black on black low mile LSC online for that much cheaper... anyone else find one?

If you like it, get it! It's your money. I think the price is steep. My friend just found a pearl white 97 lsc w/31,000 miles and all it needed was tires and he paid 4,200 for it. It doesn't have heated seats but it has everything else. food for thought! This guy wants way too much! wait him out and then offer him 8k! Not a lot of people have 11,000 to throw around these days;) just my 2 cents

I wouldnt spend that much on that car. I would have to have some serious coin to even consider it and even then I would spend a little more and get one of them Marks running around that have less then 4000 moles on them. But 11K for that many miles is too much by about 3500. And thats only if its a documented 1 or 2 owner car.

My 98 was a one owner, 84K and well doccumented and I paid $3800 for it and it already had the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 NAV deck in it.

well i appreciate all the input.... but i did buy it.. i tried to get the guy down another 500 but he would not do it. i left and he still would not change his mind. so i returned and purchased it. it is absolutely brand new. like it was just build. not 1 ding, or scratch. he has all records from day 1 and he is a documented 2nd owner. he bought it in 1999 when it was only 2 years old with 16k. all his service records were from a ford dealer and they match up with carfax. he had all fluids changed including tranny and rear end. it does have an exhaust system on it. nothing major just sounds nice. i believe mufflers only. the undercarrage looks like new. the only flaws i found were the drivers door power lock actuator, and the power seats are weak. i believe from the car sitting most of its life. and the rear light on the trunk lid has the discoloration. hopefully i will be able to track a new one down. other than that she is MINT and i mean MINT! hopefully i can get pics up soon.. i know i probly over paid, but i dont think by much. maybe 1 or 2 grand. i did not buy it for resale value, i bought it for me to enjoy and it is worth it to me.

Congratrulations!

At the end of the day it's your money / call.

I picked up a '98 for my mom about a year ago.

Flew up to Detroit to drive it... 8,700 Original Miles... paid a little more than you did.

She's always wanted one and it was the right color... Pearl White.

Now post some pics! :D
