Yeah, i have already done the alternator on my Mark, next week doing a tune up (Plugs, wires, PCV). Might brave the fuel filter sometime this month. Seriously considering trying the coil conversion too.
plugs, dont overtighten them.. they have a rediculously low torque setting.
dont under tighten them either, or they will blow out of the head.
There is a "fine line" between too loose and too tight.
and.. Please dont put coil springs on your car.
you owe it to yourself and the car to give "working air ride" a chance.
The cost of 4 air ride bags, versus coil spring conversion is roughly a 200 dollar difference.
a working air ride makes all the difference in the world.
Many times, people convert to coils, then silently "sell off the car" on ebay.
most of them are too proud to admit they made a mistake.
Then there are others that SWEAR by them beause again they are too proud to admit it was a mistake ( it's denial)...
I got 200,000 miles out of my original air ride.
at about 200K I replaced all four bags and at 400K it was still going strong, then the car got stolen.
total cost was 650.00.. and that's a small price to pay for 200K of trouble free miles.
