Wow thats a lot of stuffs!

So I take it Jeb is making his car black inside? Wonder if his graphite seat skins are in nice shape.......:shifty:

Brent, already checked the weather, It's good from here to illinois.

Laser, his skins are in good shape, but they are tan.

Let me tell ya something. It's a bish trying not to scratch the bed floor while loading this kinda stuff. (dads new truck has less than 1500 miles on it.)

Looks like you got JD loaded down well. Hope he has a safe trip.

Doh! I completly forgot that and was about to correct my post after seeing his car in your other thread.

I'm glad it all fit mike. Now i need you too come make it all fit in my basement/garage until i find some door panels

Here's the problem ... the things that Mike get's his Dad to do for him ... LOL ...

Sorry JD ... would have liked to talk to you more ... Was having dinner with Cassie on her 22nd B-day ...

Hope you have a great drive home

arent trucks meant to be scratched? whats the use of putting a dumpster box on a vehicle if not to haul crap around?

My philosophy and yours are completely different. That truck is BRAND new, and dad just hasn't had time to get a liner in it. Just because it's a truck doesn't mean you don't take care of it.

Would you want to scratch the he'll out of your $40,500 truck? I understand it IS a truck, but you can't beat the hell out of it.

My f250 has a liner in it, and I have no problem hauling rock, cinder block, and car parts. But I keep the thing scratch free, and waxed on the exterior, and spotless on the interior.

first thing i would do with a brand new truck is throw all kinds of crap in it so it did get scratched, then take it offroad through some trees, in some mud holes...why... because its a TRUCK...they are designed to be a BOX on wheels.. simply made for moving crap and getting rough... and your dads even more-so, one because its a Chevy ( i just threw up in my mouth a little) and its a 4X

does that one have the rear disk brakes, or it is the newer one that went back to the drums in the rear?

No accounting for sense in this day and age. But on the other hand I laugh at people like you. So thanks.

If I had worked almost non-stop since 1962 (dad), and I bought a NEW vehicle as a retirement present, I sure as hell would'nt go tearing it up fresh off the showroom floor. Hauling 6500 lbs from Illinois to Colorado in 13 hours at 12 mpg is pretty impressive in my book.

Not that I care for chevy.....nevermind that it's a GMC, but this is HIS truck and I have the sense and respect to treat his stuff with care. When I am in possession of said truck.

This is the last thing I'll say to you about this subject.

Because I had a black interior, and Jeb had a use for it. Dad drug my blue 94 out and took the interior back with him.
I think that was in response to the dumb mini rig picture I posted. A company now makes the bodies to turn your HD pickup into a mini rig.

I can totally understand not wanting to scratch it. Trucks are freakin expensive! On one hand I would LOVE a SVT Raptor but on the other hand there is no fuggin way I am gonna take my new 50K truck over jumps and threw brush...... hell I wouldnt even want to get it muddy cause it shows off so much suspension crap!

Trucks are so much more car like now that I could see wanting one for primary normal driving and the very occasional usage as an actual truck.

I'm going to put a spray in liner in his truck after this winter(i don't have heat in the garage) so he's trying to keep it as scratch free as possible till then.

Really a scratch dont matter at all with a spray on bed liner. It will adhear just as well and you will never know the scratch was ever there. Do gotta be careful with dents though.
