They carry it in a place called Bumper to Bumper down here. I'm not sure how big they are or if you have them up there. If you cannot find it, just let me know and I'll pick it up for you.
 
i would gladly give my left arm for someone who can just get this stock motor to run right. ive got gears and a set of c heads waiting to get the intake, the last part i need,but cant find a mechanic or a machine shop or anybody to give me a right answer or direction
 
Well the diff is trash... I put another 59-60 miles on it and it started to moan in reverse. On a good note i got so pissed that i stomped down on it... It will fly. It still idles a little high and has a hard start issue. I have looked everwhere for a vacumme leak with starting fluid with no luck. The other thing i noticed is the fuel pressure drops dead flat when i shut it off.
 
the hard start and not holding fuel pressure are directly related. the pump and regulator are supposed to hold pressure when you shut it off. and one of the two clearly isn't.

yeah i can. it is running, shifting well and will flat out haul balls. its just not in my driveway yet.
i think the guy that sold me the diff is a straight up guy. blk mk8 from fla. we will see what he is willing to do about it. can not wait to get the bugs worked out and down to the track.
 
The hard start is a commonest problem. There is a check valve in the fuel pump that is supposed to hold residual pressure in the lines and rail. To verify that this is the case, next time you start it, turn the key on for about 10 seconds, then crank the car. I'd bet money that it will crank right up. It will give the pump a few seconds to repressurize the lines. I have had this exact problem before and a walbro solved it.

Did you try what I said anyway though about giving it a few seconds of key on before you crank it?
 
I am back home car is 40 miles away. I did try that when I was fooling with it. When the pump is finished primeing the pressure immediatly falls on is face. I have a habit of turning the key to the on position and then waiting about 2 seconds before starting. I know lack of fuel is why it is slow to start. I just don't know if it is the walbro or the bbk fpr.
 
ok so i just got off the phone with the giy that sold me the diff. seems like a straight up guy. it is a replacement for a 99 cobra it has less than 30k on it. anyone know the exact fluid for a 99 cobra?
