Is this a good price on 10 spoke wheels?

Hows everyone today?

I have the 10 spoke directional alloys and one is bent and i am needing new tires also. So after doing some digging on Craigslist i found a set of chrome 10 spokes with BRAND new Kuhmo tires on them. He was asking 400 but i got him down to 325. Is this a pretty good deal? Im thinking it is and i think the chrome wheels look better then the alloys.

I'd say do it if the wheels are truly in great shape and the tires are as described. You'd spend the same if not more on just new tires.
 
he said he bought the tires at discount and put 450 miles on them until the transmission blew so he is scraping the car. here are the pics that he posted. Said wheels are in great shape. He is saving them for me until the weekend and i will pick em up.

i just checked discount tires and they have 3 differnt tires from kuhmo. Brand new they range from 480 up to 560. They seem to be good tires with 85,000 mile and 100,000 mile warranty.
 
Well i got my brother in law to pick em up for me today and i will go get them next weekend. He said they were in great shape but the only defects are the small center caps. 1 is peeling and the other is missing but other wise everything is in great shape including the tires. Will these center caps be easy to find?

This price is for each. There was another ad for all 4 new ones for $125.

I think the center caps are still available from the dealer as well. At least they were up here 18 months ago as I got three for my car and they were about $15.00 each at that thime.
 
Thanks for all the help guys... One more question, im going to clean the wheels up real well before i put them on the car. What OTC product will clean them and protect them? Never had chrome wheels before. After cleaning them can i put a coat of wax on them???
 
I use a pre-soaped Brillo pad to clean the brake dust on the inside...
Use Mothers Chrome Polish on the chrome. I don't suggest spending a lot of time on them if you still have Semi-metallic brake pads, you'll be cleaning them every other day

I also have a set of chrome 10-spokes, for sale now...no tires.. $100+sh take em

Damn would've been nice to have known that a week ago LOL. You wouldn't want to sell the center caps seperatly would ya :D? I have always had good luck with mother's products so i will go get some... Thanks...

Don't have center caps with them...see my Avatar picture :)
 
Ok on my detailing forum i asked them how to clean these wheels and they told me if the wheels have clear coat on them the do NOT use chrome polish, just use a synthetic wax to protect them... Havent gotten a reply back on why not to use the chrome polish... Im guess they have clear coat on them right?
