Yea just now and then? I did a search and didnt see this problem, before I get started chasing if it goes on and off best course of action please

clean off the magnets on the abs sensors, then check the plug on the abs pump make sure no loose connections.

huh???

clean off the magnets on the abs sensors, then check the plug on the abs pump make sure no loose connections.

Ok remember I am very much a shade tree wrench turner were are the magnets on the abs sensor, and were is the abs pump?

The ABS magnetic sensors are near the brake calipers. All four should be cleaned. Wheels come off then look for a small black rectangular box with a wire loom on the other side. The box will be lined up with the toothed ring of the hub. The magnet basically reads the teeth as they go by (on/off/on/off, etc). What happens is that metallic dust is picked up by the magnetic reader and it gets stuck reading an on/off position. But the car is smart enough to say "hey, the brakes are not on, why is one wheel not moving?" And it throws a code. When that code is stored both ABS and traction control go since they are on in the same system.

The ABS pump is under the battery at the front. But you have to access is via the wheel well liner. If you want to cheat, you can remove the cornering lens only. Screw on outside and nut on inside. Then you pull that out and you can actually see the relay and connector. It may be corroded. Or even the relay could be bad - which is the next step. Replace the relay if cleaning does not help. But there is another cheat for checking the relay, so come back and post if it gets that far.

That and the rear ABS sensors are on the differential not by the brakes. They key off the inner CV joints. You'll have to jack the car up and get under to work on them.

Just throwing this out there. Do you get a check traction and/or ABS error when the car is at idle or just starting off after its been idling for a bit?

just comes on sometimes while driving, sometime when I start it. sometimes I can drive for days with it not on.

got in and drove the car last night 15 miles no light, parked and was there for an hour, left to drive home light on?
