i have written out a few "wish lists" of goodies that i want for my mark. if you could do anything you wanted(unlimited-- not just one thing) right now, someone gave you the money to buy anything for the car what would you do? heres my list:
1-Rockford Fosgate Prime- Two 10'' Subs (Sealed)
2-Rockford Fosgate Prime AMP (mono subwoofer amplifier)
3- 18'' Chrome Speedstars
4-Continental Extreme Contact DWS UHP All Seasons 245/45/18 all around
5-Plugs and Wires
6-Lincoln Speedstar Center caps from temple performance
7-White Face Gauges from temple performance
8-Kooks Headers
9-LMS 2.5'' True Dual Full Exhaust
10-Repaint front & rear bumper
11-Remove Lincoln and Mark VIII from trunk, get holes filled and painted
12- 35% Tint on side windows, Limo tint on smaller windows
13-New front windshield(mark across windshield from previous owner from windshield wipers)
14-DDM Tuning HID Kit 6000K
15-r1 Concepts drilled & slotted rotors, ceramic brake pads
16-Underdrive pulleys
17- GREENBAY PACKERS FLOOR MATS:D

i know its a big list, but some of it are little things that'll make the car stand out, whether its the loud exhaust, speedstars, or the kickass sound system. this is my wish list for my car. whats yours?
 
powdercoat brake calipers gloss black with the raised cobra a light gray.
winter set of wheels and blizzaks.
summer tires. ecsta MX or similiar.
dual exhaust, new mufflers.
tr-6060.
new paint and body work. the tri-coat white on the newer LS's really cool. or the tri-coat white on the new SHO. and probably easier to find than the original opalescent.
ridiculous engine work.
teksid block with a big kenne bell on top.
 
I would just buy the 1st gen someone on "another forum" is working on. It has just had a complete underside repaint/rebuild and the motor/trans going in would make me cream my pants to drive. It's twice as nice compared to factory.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Talk about the most epic mark build of all time.

its nice, but i would rather build my own.
 
pullied 3, i would just build my own i'm not knocking that car its friggin gorgeous, but i would rather make my own.
and if i could buy anything right now the last thing i would do is buy anything for my car, i'd buy a house with a garage so then i could build anything i want in the garage!!

1. fully forged, bulletproof bottom end,2.full port polish, cammed head job, 3.as much boost as it can handle,and remain streetable 4. complete rear backhalf fabricated to put all power to ground and fit the widest poss 18" tire 335 40 18 nitto drag radials, 5.tranny redone to handle power, driveshaft,etc. 6.ford gt brakes all around,and custom suspension for the twisties 7. a 1 off custom hood, i already have the design drawn out and may do it next year, 8.a few choice coats of deep gloss black lacquer finish that you could shave in your reflection in, 9.become the fastest streetcar in america, drive it everyday like it was stolen and give the finger to people who build cars like that then lock them away in a garage and trailer them everywhere. what the hell did you spend the money for? to enjoy it, use it and cruise it.

Forged motor, blower cams, worked heads, Vortech, and somewhere deep in the teens for psi and below the teens or "elves" (ha ha Christmas reference:D) for a 1/4 mile time. :cool:
 
this is a good thread, yeah that pullied 3 threat of that mark is unbelievable, that things the cleanest i've seen a mark, really nice work on the rebuild
 
I'll make is simple. I would own a beautiful garage that could fit 6-7 Marks. My current 93 I would definitely just drop its current power plant & buy an 03 Terminator drivetrain. Install it together w/a Cobra R hood. Install 96 LSC bumpers & Have the car repainted. Ofcourse once all of that is done I would pick the sickest 20 inch wheels possible for the car. Possibly somethg like K9's wheels.... All of that or just have Chip Foose modify the car for me. :)

All chassis braces
Gear/trak lok

Blower
COP conversion
Cobra manifolds/steering shaft mod
Dual exhaust/x pipe/magnaflows
New leather
Sequential taillights
Cobra brakes
Tinted windows
Seat tracks that always work
Double-R hood
3500 stall
NO RUST :(

That's all I can think of right now.
 
New doors, new paint
03-04 cobra drivetrain
Cobra or better brakes including manual Trans
All brand new oem air suspension components
Completely new front suspension
Bilstiens shocks for rear
20" wheels of some sort
New back glass and re tint rest of car
New exhaust system

Then I'd be happy

I would never let Foose paint my Mark, mainly because I want it ONE color
 
3rd cat delete, maybe a new amp, tokico shocks all around, new front end


Not so realistic...18's, 300a ho alt, 5000rms on 4 15's walled in backseat. 373's, repaint f+r bumpers or just a repaint in general, doesn't need it but still..........

He's done quite a few single color jobs. I specifically remember the convertible T-Bird. I've also seen a few single color Mustangs. However that man is an artist. I think he wil notice right away that this car simply can't be painted in 2 tones.
 
1st. Buy ever oem/nib mark viii part to install after a frame off restoration. Rewire the whole car (new stereo wire, remove all electrical air ride system). Custom suspension part( uca/lca ect,etc). Fill exhaust tip cut on the rear bumper, mini tub in the rear with custom irs to match. Powder coat all parts on the undercarraige including undercarraige.
Repaint whole car black and have the interior redone with red color (custom front seat, fiberglass center console etc etc). Coyote crate motor with maybe a 2.4 blowzilla mounted to a viper 6-speed. Custom exhuast( side exhuast exiting the body of the car) bear brake system, and some chassis stiffners. That's it.
