I went and looked at a 95 LSC

When I seen the price and then seen the car, I almost puked. The owner was the bull:q:q:q:qter of all bull:q:q:q:qters. Yes it shows almost 70,000K on the clock but how do I know the odometer didn't stop on it at some point like some 95 LSC's have been known to do? It had dents, foggy headlights, broke grille and you had to put in a fuse to make the seat move or a light would stay on all the time and kill the battery. He claimed it to have 66 lb. injectors and told me it was clocked at a round track at 172 mph. I was thinking "127"??? All 4 wheels were on backwards and he said they were on right and called mine backwards lol.

I never got a full pic of the car itself but did get pics of most of the flaws.

What would be your offer on this thing?

I didn't even bother driving this car.
 
Eww, my car isn't worth that much, and I have no rust, or major dents..I have some small dents thou...i thought the 93 was the only one that wasn't governed..or is it all gen1s? My car has been clocked at 164..my ex is a cop,so I know that's what it was
 
I would have walked away in tears if someone said it had 66lbs injectors and was clocked at 172MPH. I had another Mark VIII owner stop me and talk to be about our cars and there wonderful 300+ RWHP COBRA engines.....:shifty: he couldnt understand that the were only rated at 280hp at the crank and they were not Cobra engines infact they were used 3 years before the 96 Cobras used them.
 
I wouldnt pay chit for that car and would have laughed in that idiots face as I pissed on his feet. Fugging ass hat driving that douche canoe.
What a POS and even the car sucks!

His asking price is $3800.00 and I told him $1500.00 and he said he was not going any lower than $3500.00 and I told him he would have that car till his kids inherited it. It was and has been on CL off and on for $4000.00 for the past 3 years. He looked at mine and asked me if I had the LSC package lol. Dumb ass.....

The next time I catch it on CL, I'll post it and everyone can crack on him about it now that you have seen the real deal he's trying to sell. It will be listed in Alabama, Huntsville / Decatur

I have to admit, I did want the front and rear bumper covers but other than that, I wouldn't have it. That's why I said $1500 because I knew he wouldn't take it. He said I was trying to steal it from him at that price.

I guess I stole my "black on black" 94 for $1500 that was in a lot better condition than that damn thing is and it came from a car lot. Jamie did give me a good deal on the 95 for $2K and when he told me that 2K buys you a POS, he was right but what he sold me was far from a POS. All I have had to do to the car that I bought off Jamie is replace the alternator as far as mechanical. The other stuff I have done is cosmetic and that's how I like to spend my money, rather than engine mods. Ohhh, I did replace my rear shocks with Monroe Sensa Trac's

Well technically they do have the same characteristics as the Cobra motor so that isn't exactly a full fib. I think people say that, or at least I mention that because the majority of people don't think the mark is fast, but when they realize it has pretty much the same engine as the Cobra they are floored. They assume it's a boat, with an anchor for an engine.

It is in no way a Cobra engine!!!! The Mark 8 had the teksid block and the 4v heads years before the Cobra did, if anything the Cobra has a warmed over Mark 8 engine.

You are missing the point. I don't think you understand...people that aren't familiar with cars (which is pretty much 80% of the people most of us come across) have no clue what differences there are between engines. The crown vic has an 8cyl but is by no means fast unless modded heavily. So with that just having an 8cyl doesn't classify a car as fast.

Lincoln's aren't synonymous with speed to most people. In fact most people think they are dogs. So by saying it has the Cobra motor it isn't stating that is where the engine came from, it is stating it shares a common powerplant. I usually follow it has the cobra motor statement with "technically the cobra took the engine from the mark vii" but it gets the point across. Sure there are a few minute differences, but all in all they are the same engines.

Saying they are completely different is like saying adding rims and a different hood makes your car a different model. That wouldn't make any sense. Nor does it make sense to state that because of a few performance modifications done by Ford to get the most out of the motor, that they are no longer the same engine.

To sum up my point, people know the Cobra is fast. So by saying they basically have the same engine people then can assimilate that the mark isn't slow then and shouldn't be underestimated.

Sapp, all Gen 1's are quick and have a fast top end speed but as for the 93's, they had a certain PCM coded W3Z2 which was the fastest and then they had the W3Z3 and it too was pretty damn fast. I can't speak for Gen 2's because I have never owned one nor studied up on them.

Your car hitting 164 is very well possible because mine was clocked at 146 and it still wanted more but I was out of room and the damn road was getting kinda skinny lol. This was in the 94 without a W3 coded PCM.

The only way a stock Mark will do 164 is if it was going downhill...... off a cliff. :lol:

I want the front and rear bumper covers but the rest he can have. I think he should part it because this car has been on CL since 2007 and 2008. It started out at $4000 or $4500 a long time ago.
 
66 lbs lol, just think if everyone actually loled in real life everytime they put lol there would actually be some funy as people out there, anyways ask for him to take an injector out and show you, i can gauruntee it is blue, also aske him what size pump he put in there, cause a stock pump would not push out enough for 66 pundf injecotrs if he had them
 
Now that I think about it, he might have said 46 lb. injectors. Either way, he made it a point to let me know that his were better than mine, like I gave a :q:q:q:q. I'm not buying injectors anyway. Me and those things don't get along anymore.
 
you could get out the dent on the dor to make it better...take , door panel and prisde. with rust simply tape the area around to the rust spots and shoot..let it i dry after each coat.. then bleand it in..

the int looks decent though.

edit: and the grill...


i wouldn't pay more then 20-2800..

I like the deal if they didn't have to be painted and were white opalescent. That's the only reason I wanted his because they were ready to go on and no painting needed. I'm still waiting on Jamie to get me the LSC moldings but I'm not busting his balls until his meet is over with. :p

Jamie, don't come in here with no lip either. I know you wanna say something.

He definitely wont sell it to any one of us, but some poor schmuck will inevitably pony up the cash. :p

I don't know G, like I said, I have been watching this same car for a good 3 years on CL and it ain't made a move yet. If he comes down in the 2's, he might get it off his hands but I'm talking mid to low 2's but even at that price, I still wouldn't mess with it. It's one of those cars that you have to see in person and then look over at your car and think in your head what you gave for it. Mine looks like new setting next to his and something about the mileage that I'm not trusting. 95's were known to stop reading until fixed and I really don't know if it has 70K or 190K and why did he put in 46 lb. injectors but no other mods? Kinda useless IMO.
