I have been watching this black Mark VIII sitting for a couple years now. I stop by from time to time but never seem to catch the owner. Well tonight I finnaly spoke to him and hes an idiot. Its a car lot and the guy kinda knows what he has but not really. Nobody has even gone in the car in over a year cause there was a ziplock bag of $1 bills on the floor and its still there. The car is flat on the ground and has a flat. He dont know why but my guess would be bags all the way around....

I have posted pics of it before but didnt get any new ones tonight. Its a black on black 93 fully loaded with 63K on the clock. No dents, no dings, no clear coat peel and no lasgna on the rear windo seal. Its very very dirty but cleanable. The seats do not even have wrinkles in them. The car is a freakin cream puff visually. The only flaw is the chrome on the rub strip is shot all the way around but the chrome on the windows, grill and tail lights is perfect.

He wants $3500 and I almost hung up on him. I said $1000 and he laughed. We talked and I told him the car will sit there forever at that price cause it needs $1000 worth of suspension work. I am fairly sure I can get him to $2500 but if I bought it that meens the 98 dont get painted again or a new exhaust for quite a while.

After the suspension is done then I wouldnt mod the 98 for a while during the restore of the 93. The 93 would get an exhaust and a sensor lower and thats it.

I dont need to post pics as you all know what a 1st gen black/black Mark looks like and believe me when I say the car would look perfect after a thurough detail and new chrome on the strip.
Oh yeah, I would also dump the ugly ass 20 spokes and put my cherry chrome 10 spokes on it. :)

What do you guys think?

Well the 10 spokes are a free mod since nobody bought them yet. I really thought I could snag it up for $1000, now I see why its sat there for the last couple years. $2500 is allot and if it wasnt a 93 with 63K miles and no dents or rips then I wouldnt even consider it but its really nice.

I would see if it pumps up before assuming the bags are shot. Could be leaky solenoids.

But is the car worth $2500 if it did have bad bags? Thats another $1000 (close enough anyway) to fix. Wish I didnt have to get the therapy done before we could sue. If I had that money comming sooner then I would prolly just close my eyes and jump in.

whats wrong with the 20 spokes, im starting to like my snow flakes..i may even have them chromed

I think you are going to have to ask if you can find another low mile one that cheap. You can always go coils for 400.

If the car has set for a LONG time it may have leaked down due to other reasons than bad bags.

I could see myself enjoying this on the weekends.

Id even have the chrome fixed if its available anywhere. :)

ill sell ya a 93 for 2000, but black/black, thats gonna be one HOT mother F'er in august
cant wait to see it after you drive it a few times down your white rock road too...lol--- im such an encouraging friend :D

low mileage but its 16 years old.. i'd offer 1500-2000.....and if its been there so long i think he'd take it.

Should have taking a different car to stop and look at it. If he can tell you want it.....he'll hold out for more.

Cash talks. You could always flash 15 100s and say as is buddy....

dude, did he see your white one? did you tell him what you paid for it? i would say you got it like i was for 2600 or some BS like that, if he saw your car then he saw the stickers in the window, hope he isnt monitoring your thread now..lol

Abe lincoln's got a lowered spring conversion for dirt cheap right now. 93's are the fastest out of the box. Man I miss my first gens, not to mention the ass-clowns that have them now don't maintain them for crap! Those miles are sweet. but they also have the worst transmission issues. Updated accumulators, Newer style pan & pickup tube, J-mod, & a tranny cooler would be a must. That car ain't worth jack schit on the ground like that. It may be worth that if it was in operable condition, but since it's not......I think your offer was fair. I wouldn't go above $1,400 for it.

offer him a fair price and give him your number....give it a week... if he doesnt call forget about it...

when i was buying my marquis this happened....the day i bought my old marquis he called and said he'd accept my offer. i loved to tell him that i had just bought one that day... that was about 1-1.5 weeks after i went and looked at it.

i bought my black 93 with 72k on it for $1,700 and it was a one female owner florida car. this one you talk about sat for 3 years, flat on its belly and he wants 3500 lmfao you need to start searching florida and come get a low mile rust free southern mark for dirt dude!

I'm right in the middle in opinions. I have to agree with Jamie since I live in Florida so I understand him but unfortunately there are RETARDS that are willing to pay the price! I just sold my white 96 with a broken door handle, no radio, passenger lower ball joint about to pop out of place, original spark plug wires with a knock on the engine & non-functioning drivers seat for $1,700.00!!! So YES! It can be done! It took 6 weeks & I sold it. Some retard may pass by & give him $2,800 or so & snatch it from him. Don't be persistent, if it's meant to be yours it will be... Oh, did I mention I got that what Mark for $200.00? Yeah, nice profit! Overpriced Mark's are a dime a dozen & for some reason they sell!

ya im not the only person to have regular cobras on my fenders..woohoo,
the total black out looks great, i would so do that if i didnt have a light blue interior...bill if you got that black one, id say do that.. and set it on your speed stars, that would look wicked, but you need the cobrastars for extra sickness..wow
bet it would look killer with a gen2 rear end body mod

First off you have only look at it, have you started it it been sitting for three year. Have you gone inside the car looked at the motor trunk. CARFAX'D it. Blend door work all the oher BS that goes wrong with these cars could be a flood car from louisana or galveston. Still be nice to have a low miles Mark 8 to have and drive around every sunday. Buy it
