I really wish other people would stop wrecking my cars.

I leave work to go to the bank so I can pay for my overpriced rotor re-drilling job and then I go get lunch. I come out from the Chinese place with my lunch and what do I see?

I was ready to fracking kill someone... anyone. Didnt care who. I know there was a black Nissan SUV with some weird black rack for bikes or a wheel chair on the back that was parked behind me and I would bet thats what did it cause it wasnt there when I cam out.

This really depresses me allot. It just wont stop with this BS crap in my life. I just resigned myself to the fact the dent on the side is gonna cost me $350 to fix but now I gotta find a bumber and then have it painted cause I know I wont find one in white or if I do it will be scratched to hell anyway.

I just can not catch a freakin break.

+1

An old, heavy duty truck that can do some serious damage to another vehicle would be my choice!

..I ran into your car, I was jealous it was so pretty. :) But hey, I may be able to purchase that cover from you, I will be needing one for a mold in the days to come and that damage shouldn't be too important. Might that be a possibility?

Thanks Chris and after I find another one then I am sure we can figure out how to get the old one to you.

And I bought another Mark because I want to be comfertable and enjoy the 3 hours I spend in the car every single day. The Mark was originally bought to save miles on my Cobra. Even though I take damn good care of my DD and do mods that enhance it, its still ment to be my DD.

Laser, I sent the part to you Priority today but didn't mean for them to rush it to you that fast, hit the car on the way through and throw the part in the parking lot.

Just take the bumper off the 97 and have it painted and look for a cheaper replacement for the 97 later. Paint the green one yourself to match as close as possible. Sell it cheaper than you originally was going to. With the way your luck is going, you might want to keep the entire car on standby. I"ll have 2 on standby just in case.

I know you're pissed right now because it seems to never stop for you.

thats so f_ _ked up I feel your pain and anger it happened to me with my 93 mark last winter someone put a nice big gash in mt driver side rocker panel and a few years back I bought a mint 85olds 2dr one owner for 500 never hit this car was perfect and in one week it was side swiped twice, but I know your loss alot more painful that car was just a olds,,,sorry

I lived in Michigan for 4 years (no fault state, $500 mini tort on vehicle damage only) and was hit 7 times including 2 total losses, all other drivers fault. Since I left that craphole of a state in 2005 I haven't been hit once. I have had my daily driver for 2 years and don't even have a door ding.
Hopefully your luck will change too.

Cool! Thank you.

The big reason this sucks for you, the tri coat fades, and can't be blended. So you'll have a new bright tri-coat bumper cover, and not so bright quarters. The only way to have a tri coat car match all over is to paint it all at once. :shifty:

Jeeezus dude... You got about the same luck as me!!

Since I've been driving, I've hit a deer with my '77 Mustang II, totalled my '89 GT in the snow, hit a deer with my '94, hit a deer with my Mark Viii... All of this since '04....

I feel your pain man...

The '77 is gonna be the hardest one to fix of all my cars...

...do what I did.
Put a hitch on the car.
It ends that kind of "bump" in parking lots real quick.

Bill,

A good bodyman/body shop could repair the Bumper Cover , if they wanted to do so ! I could fix it !

Good Luck,
Sonny

I have to admit.....

After seeing the subject line, holding my breath as I clicked on the link.

It AINT that bad bro, I was expecting far more carnage and glad it's only a "bolt on piece of urethane" that's damaged.

Looks to me like you should keep the green car around, and I agree you should swap the rear covers and take it back to those guys that painted the green car.

They did a great job on that paint job, doing a tri coat white should be fairly painless.

If you drive non stop south for 250 miles it will have a reverse effect on any negative karma that you've brought upon yourself.

(shameless post count increase)

AND... you could do a drive by on chris and chunk that old cover in his yard.

I think Chris is in Idaho.

It looks like I am gonna keep it cause there are many parts people want and since fixing the dent and painting the bumper will be a $700+ job the parts sales should cover it.
