I can't believe it, fast & furious 5! Next spring.

Yeah and I am actually excited. Yes they are cheesy and some stuff is just plain stupid but I have been entertained by all of them. The second one was lame and Tokyo Drift was ..... well .... a bit uber ricey but I still was entertained. There are enough cool cars and chase scenes to keep my attention plus the chicks are just freakin smokin hawt!

Yeah car guys make fun of the series but every damn car guy I know can quote at least one line from the movies even if it is "I live my life a quarter mile at a time."
This one looks like it was done better then the last one and I thought the last one was decent.

I am confused about Han though. He appeared to die in the third movie (Tokyo Drift) and came back for the beginning of the fourth movie but it eludes to the beginning taking place before Tokyo Drift cause Han says he was gonna check out the Tokyo scene. But this movie is definatly further along in the time line cause Spilner isnt FBI anymore and they have R35 GTRs. Yet I can clearly see Han in the previews. So if he came back from the dead then thats pretty lame.

Anyway, I will see it when it hits Blueray.

Seems to be the best one yet.

Looks like fifth time is the charm. :Dlol

Oh and Laser... it's blu-ray. :p

My favorite part of the series was the whole first part of tokyo drift right up to the end of the race of monte vs. Viper... Some of the shots of the monte gave me goose bumps. Next favorite to that was the most recent FF movie at the end where the "f bomb" camaro pulls a wheelie... In the sand...

Don't worry I was so too! According to the people on the fan-site this movie also takes place before the Tokyo Drift. Listen, at this point I don't care. What other movies have made it to "Part V"? Rocky? Friday the 13th?
The first one came out in 2001 when I was 21. I'm a 31 year old man & the same cast is till entertaining us! So... that being said, let's enjoy it, ah, what the heck...

"LET'S GO FOR A LITTLE RIDE!"

I think my soul just died a little, put a fecking Nissan engine in a Shelby. Every time I see that stupid Paul Walker I wanna punch him in the face just for being a terrible actor. I know plenty of car guys who DON'T quote that movie. Ever since those damn movies came out every high school kid in the neighbor hood has ran to Auto Zone and loaded their Cavilers, Civics, Eclipse, and other crappy Jap cars with poorly fitted/designed ground effects kits, top fuel dragster spoilers, fart can mufflers, and "NOZ". Any car show that I've been to all the old guys with real cars stand around and giggle at these abominations.

lmao! I agree to a certain extent. Except these cars have been around for atleast 5 years before the movie came out. In fact this movie was inspired by the ricers! Not the other way around. I've always been a domestic V8 owner myself but most of my friends have been into the imports their entire lives. This movie never made me change my mind.

Same as UltimateSVT I was 21 when the first movie came out.Right around that time I was doing the illegal street racing thing also.I was already doing it for about a year or year and half before and by the time I saw the movie which was another year later I remember thinking "Our races were no way in hell that organized".They were organized to one extent but not with people scanners police scanners.Atleast I never saw one. There was really no need for them because the cops were just about around the corner anyway. They would just chill, wait and let a few races go by and then crash the party.

As far as the mass of cars there at the "races",being in SoCal the movie had that part correct. There would be atleast 100-150 cars there.I would say it was 40% Muscle 60% Ricers. And even some Vipers would show. The area was long tradition for racers, since the 70's I think.

I remember that there was few times that there were some undercover cops that would race, sorta like "Beat the heat".Some would race a turbo civic and there was one also that had '97 Impala SS on the bottle. If you won you were free to go but if lost the car got impounded.

There were actually some fast cars at these races and a lot of them were not all that cheesy.

Those were the days I must say.

They said it takes place after F&F 4 and before Tokyo Drift. I like all of the F&F movies and this one should be good too. Vin Diesel always has the baddest cars.

Vanishing Point was one of those pointless movies wasn't it? I still don't understand why he slammed into the dozers.

I never bothered to look up the trailer before.I like that. "Occupation" "Transporting a supercharged Challenger".Don't remember it being supercharged.

So it goes The Fast and the Furious (1), 2Fast 2 Furious (2), Fast and Furious (4), Fast Five (5), then The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (3)? :shifty:

WTF man? Talk about a mind fvck.

Yeah, I agree. I figured cause the "bad guys" in TD had a 350Z and the older Skyline (our Infinity G35 Coupe) that it dated the movie to pre-R35 days since thats the current king car over there yet the last movie had the Skyline R35. Meh, I still wanna see it even if its just to see the hawt chicks.

Didn't really care for the second one but the rest were cool! I do remember looking to buy a supra twin turbo right before the movie came out and then prices on the supra tt's seemed like they doubled when the movie came out. I ended up paying 25k for a 93.5....dammit!!

Vanishing Point was a truly pointless movie. As was the movie Dual. But for some reason they are classic car movies that have a cult following.

I have yet to see part 4 believe it or not! I will have to buy/rent it soon so that the story line makes sense.... wait... I won't anyway, just want to see hot cars & hot chicks! lol
Its on TV right now. They been playing the hell out of it on the premium channels all month.

I agree i hope fast five will be worth it. It comes out in the theatres the morning after/night of my birthday so it better be good!
