You're used to working on rust free cars, and now you're complaining about replacing a simple and cheap oil filter adaptor gasket?

Most of us have done this without a problem.

I just replaced the brake lines on my green Mark, which is a lot worse than replacing a gasket. You don't hear me complaining about that.:D

FYI on the Daughter thing. I got custody of my kids and their mother kept bashing me and Heather. While young her scheme seemed to be working ... I just stayed steady with them .... now they have very little to do with their mother. In fact my daughter asked me why did I ever marry her. I told my daughter ... doesn't matter with out your mother I wouldn't have you. Kids can see the crap of their idiot parents LOL...
 
Don't feel bad jamie! I just got a call from my girlfriend who just took my mark to work this morning (60 miles one way) and called me saying "there is white smoke coming out of the back of the car and underneath. what should I do?" I just went to pick her up and followed the trail of tranny fluid to my car:( Its on a flatbed as we speak going to the trans shop! Dammit!!!
 
If its any consolation to you Jamie, you aint the only one hurting these days. its a Nationwide situation.
Be very thankful you even have a job to go to and a place to live, and food for your table. Believe me, it could be a lot worse.
Everyone has to suck it up and get real about life now. lose some of the convieniences and luxurys and just simply do without.
its just not only you this is happening to. I dont mean to sound like a hard ass, but thats just the way it is these days. youre not alone. It will get worse before it gets better. But it WILL get better. We are ALL in the same boat.
 
oh i realize i am far from the only one like this, i understand that, i'm just sick of it, thats all. and bill its not that i have to change the gasket, i dont want to invest any money or time into the car, it has so many problems, i have said this probably a million times already, it would be one thing if it needed 1 part and a days worth of work, the car has so many problems that i just dont want to bother with it. i'm not spoiled even some of the florida cars give me problems, specially ones from the beach. but as far as the 93 goes or my life i'll stop bitching about them i dont want to clutter up the forums with my complaining. happy thoughts anyone?

My daughter sees through it well too. Her mother told her a month ago that she did not have money for anything back to school. A few weeks later her Ford Edge failed inspection because it needed tires, so she dropped a grand on that. I told my daughter I thought it was funny that her mother had no money for her but somehow came up with a grand to buy new tires she didn't know she needed. I bought my daughter everything she needed and a few things she didn't.

Hey everyone I just have to put in my two cents into this one... I feel for all you on here I guess you can say Im lucky that my wife and I have great paying jobs. We have a combined house hold income of around 100,000. The suckie thing is we are both required to would 60+ hours a week at our jobs. I work nights, most of the time from Midnight to well after Noon and she works during the day for 10-12 hrs a day. I some times forget what she looks like awake. Since she is in bed asleep when I get up for work. So when we get time off on the same day witch is a complete rarity or on our days off we are so tired from working and being parents we dont do much other then sit on the couch like a blob. Or in my case Im out working on a new problem on my Mark. So I feel for you guys on a different level I guess. It just sucks we should play Powerball and split the winnings across the forum. lol Then we could all take a break from work and do what we want.
 
HA, if I won power ball, you guys can lick my taint, I'll stick the title to the Mark in the glove box with the keys, post my door combo, and y'all can have an American race for it....i'll be moving to Amsterdam

I would be doing the same... Well sort of... I would tell everyone I work with they can lick my sweaty AZ taint. Then I would run out and find a 98 LSC or a CE and have someone restore it to a brand new condition. Then my my 93 the ultimate sleeper!

If I had major cash like that then I would buy that CE for $25,000 that pops up every now and then that has the plastic still on the door pannels.
Would drop the new 5.0 in it with forged internals and the new style blower. Then drop in the new close ratio 6-speed. It would be my cruiser toy for the days I dont wanna drive the DBS or the LP640 or the F430 or the AMGBlack or the Ford GT or the Veyron or the Zonda F or the Conti GT or the Mines GT-R V-Spec that it would share a garrage with. :D
