Found a local guy who does installs on the side. Was a Ford tech for a long time, and has a few mustangs he is building. Dropped the car off this morning, and drove off about an hour ago. I got to his place early, and helped him put the exhaust back on and a couple other final things. The o2 sensor above the passenger cat is a biotch.
While under there, I noticed I have an aluminum driveshaft!
SO someone put one in at some point in it's life. I wasn't able to pick one up in time, and had planned on buying one tomorrow and swapping it in. So I saved some cash, and time.
So far my break in period was the 30 min drive home. So I am going to head out in about an hour to do they 45 min break in. Can't wait to actually be able to get on it, since I only did 50mph max, the whole way home.
Total Cost.
Gears- $75 new
T-Lok- $50 used, low mileage
Install kit $117 shipped from Max
Gear Install- $100
So total cost, was $337.
, not having to buy a driveshaft...priceless.
