whats the best way to take the front grille off a gen2 mark? whats all needed & what xtra has to come off with it?

The headlights need to come out.

The 4 nuts across the top of the back of the grille need to be removed.

The screws holding the inner fender liner to the bumper cover on both sides need to be removed.

The screws holding the lower valance to the bumper cover need to be removed.

It wouldn't hurt to also remove the 4 bolts holding the lower valance to the subframe, and completely remove that lower valance.

Drill out or pop off the 3 rivets on each side of the bumper cover beneath where the headlights would be.

Slide the bumper cover forward with the grille attached to it.

Lay the bumper cover somewhere safe (on a towel or something), and remove the 4 phillips-head screws from the bottom of the grille.

That should be it...

If you don't twist off any bolts, you can have it out and back in in less than an hour. ;)

I've had so many damn cars, none of which I ever had to remove the front bumper in order to remove the grill... Except the damn Marks. They couldn't think of another way could they!

maybe ford did that so nobody would be able to steal the grille off the car? just a thought i just came up with lol
