High Amp Alternator. 96-98 cobra?

What alternators interchange with ours? It seems getting a hi amp alternator that specifically says for the mark VIII is expensive. 400bux…. Does the 96-98 cobras fit? My application is for a 93 mark VIII

'96-'98 Cobra alternators will work.

You may need to open the harness and get a bit of slack for the regulator harness connector to reach.

These guys used to sell mark VIII 200 amp alternators, looks like they still do

Not sure about the wiring though, it only lists 96-98

I bought a cobra alternator from Max at 5-Star Ford and it plugged in perfectly to my Gen 2. I think Driller is correct about the harness not quite reaching with out opening it up though, on a Gen 1.
