hid kit

i have never put in new high beam bulbs lol, i think they're sylvanias idk. my dad never uses the high beams, only on the highway at night where you can't see a damn thing. 35 watts, 5000k hid kit woohoo. i can't wait to get the lights, im ordering the hid kit soon. too bad its winter and the cars gonna sit in the driveway lol

Ya dude I wouldn't pay someone to install them, once you see how easy and straight forward it is you'd regret having someone else do it..just make sure you buy the HID kit with the SLIM balasts not the regular sized ones..there's not much room for them to go otherwise. These aftermarket kits all come with instructions to install them yourself...you don't need brackets or relays or any of that BS..just get the kit and you're good to go, and I'd go with 4300k bulbs they're super white with just a touch of blue..the higher the kelvin# the less light output...I just put some 4300k bulbs in my car, search the thread 95 mark with 96hids for reference photos of mine.

stock bulbs are 60 watts. no power worries.

you have plenty to worry about, the 93-96 all had recalls for melted headlight switch harness's, the plug on the back of the switch melts in them, because they are wired with too small a gauge wire, most of them never got brought back to have the problem fixed so i can only imagine what some of them 15 year old plugs look like these days. i have seen my share after parting them out for so long, its a wonder there are not more fires in first gens, the wiring in the lighting part of the car sucks bad.

jamie what do u recommend from ddm tuning? 4500k and 35 watts?

nothing because their customer service sucks sweaty ass holes. if i knew you wanted hid's for $40 bucks more i could have put a kit in the box when i send your lights back. the same kit i put in my 97 lsc and my 96 silverado. best aftermarket hids i have ever used and cheap as hell, no bulb flicker, no failed ignitions, perfect all the time.

can you gimme a link of where i can find the kit?-- i'd like to get it from where you said if its better

i'm not saying its better, but its 40 bucks shipped, came to my house from california 2 days after i paid for it, and its been perfect, the same kit is in my old 97 mark and they are over 2 years old never had a problem with them either. i wont buy from ddm cuz i have seen people wait a month before they got theirs. their shipping blows.

ahh.. whats the name of the place you got them from if you don't mind me askin

If you want white white light, 4300K to 5000K and you can get DDM if you want but like Jamie mentioned, they have been known to suck for shipping. As for your switch, don't worry about it because it's a 95 and should be updated already.

35 watt is plenty if the housings are clear. 55 watt is just asking for more heat and they don't have the life span of the 35 watt.

This is the kit I ordered. They have some of the smallest ballast out right now. It was only $38 shipped, and they should be here today or this weekend. I was going to go with DDM, but these were cheaper, and they had a video review showing the waterproof test, and reliability.

I wouldn't want to smell DDM's customer service breath then lol

my ballasts are half as thick as a ack of smokes, and a little smaller around that a pack of smokes, i have never used smaller ballasts you can hide them anywhere.

I just got my 6000K HID kit from ebay and installed it. Only about an 45 mins to install, and very easy. I put the HIDs in the high beam housing (low beam housing is gone), hook the low beam connector to them, and pointed the headlight all the way to the ground. I'll post some pics later
