was looking on ddmtuning.com - since a lot of people here get them from that site. i have absolutely no clue as to which kit to get for my 95 base, i'd like the look of a bright white, with a tint of blue- i think 4500k ? im new to hid kits. can anyone help me out and write out which options i would need to pick out from that site. thanks

think i figured it out. Raptor Full Sized HID Kit (35W or 55W) -- 55 W Kit. bulb type 9005/HB3 . i saw pics of lights. im gonna go with 6000k. now do i need any of these things?--> HID Harness
Error Code Eliminator
Adaptor cables
Mounting Brackets

dlf adapter rings
hid kit
instrictions
a beer and patients

6000k is too blue for me.
dlf's adapter rings are not needed. that's only for an HID housing. not on a 95 base.
9005 HID kit.
mounting kit if you want. not like there is much room.
between all the wiring and small space behind the headlight, i just set my ballast on top of the pile and they don't move. had them zip tied to the header panel for a while, but then i didn't have the room to get to the adjustment bolts.

ahh. i wouldn't know how to install this, would i be better off bringing the car and the kit to a place that installs hid kits?

ever installed a headlight bulb?
don't touch the glass, insert into headlight, twist to lock, connect connectors. done.
its actually not very complex.

Wattage : 55W
Bulb Type : 9005/HB3
Bulb Color : 6000K

Just picked that out, anything else needed for this install? I'll most likely be bringing it somewhere to be done. So what your saying is chris, that i don't need any of these things ---> HID Harness
Error Code Eliminator
Adaptor cables
Mounting Brackets

let me know, i'd love to install this after getting my headlights redone from jamie

yea i have, and i didn't know how simple it was. i thought there was more to it than meets the eye, dumb question, they come with install directions if i need it right?

right. i don't have them.

i don't remember having instructions.

okay sounds good. maybe i can convince my dad to let me get this hid kit when i get my headlights back from jamie, i hate the look of the yellow crappy halogen bulbs, even the "xtreme white piaa" bulbs don't come close to the HID look, have you had any problems with this kit at all? just curious because its only $40

ehhh, i think the 35s are plenty bright, and cheaper too i believe.
as much trouble as we have with these headlights, stick to the lower wattage.
no problems. had my kit about a year now.

yes i just ordered a set form DDMT 4500K 35 wat low beams.

and 5000k 55 wat for the hi beams. (go in the sticks on my way home from work its dark)

Ordered mine off of ebay and LOVE them. This is the whole kit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/320623491690 You have to specify the type you want, but they wire right up. I would tell you to drive down here and i'll install whatever you end up buying, but that's half a day wasted if you can do it yourself. I'm sure you can. They are all pretty simple.

oo i forgot about both low and high beam.. smh- do i really need to get high beam hid bulbs? i never use high beams and with the hid low beam bulbs i won't need them to be honest.

no. in fact i don't suggest it. they don't like being turned on and off all the time.
just put a good set of regular bulbs in there and call it good.

ditto +1
im stickin with the ddm kit, you said you had no problems at all over a year and its good, im getting it. can't wait to get rid of that stock yellow crap look. oh and the fact that you can't see 5+ feet in front of you on a street, let alone a dark highway at 1 am going to oakland new jersey lol.

55 watt in your housings is not a good idea. 35 watt is bright enough. 6000k is too blue, 4300 or 5000 is perfect, i just put 5000k in my silverado.

ah i don't want it blue blue, ill go with 5000k then.

heh thanks micah lol

55 watts? My factory Sylvanias in the Gen2 are bright as hell and 35 watts. No need for the extra wattage on the low beam. ;) And also remember all your wiring is gauged according to what power is being ran through it. Problems will start to arise (like a meltdown) if you start running higher wattages while retaining your factory wiring. I would suggest 35w low beam and a 55w standard halogen bulbs for your high beams which I hardly use anyways which is my reasoning. Why spend money on something you never use. Pretty sure the Gen2 sylvanias are right around 4300-5000K so if you want to replicate that look, go with that range. Also, that is going to be the brightest you'll get because as you go up on the kelvin scale you lose light strength while the shades move closer and closer to purple. 4300-5000K is the "sweet spot". :)

stock bulbs are 60 watts. no power worries.
