Will a Gen 2 headliner fit correct in a Gen 1? I need a black (non moon roof) headliner and I found one but it's for a Gen 2. If someone has a Gen 1 headliner that isn't junk and it's black, let me know if you want to sell. No moon roof.

If the Gen 2 works, I have already found one. Just need to know if it's a direct fit.

terry i cant say 100% but if both cars have no moonroof it should fit like a glove, both generation marks have the same exact roof so i cant see why it wouldnt work. where are my subs?

They are coming, I promise. I will have them at the post office today and sent off. I knew you had headlights out the ass to do and something else you were involved with so to be honest, I really haven't been in a rush lol. Just speaking the truth. I haven't opened the box of carpet you sent either. It's in the living room setting beside the couch. It's been raining here too so that's another reason why.

Now, as for the headliner, I'm not going to buy the Gen 2 if you don't know for sure and it's not that I would expect you to know. I just knew if anyone did, it would most likely be you.

Maybe I can take the one I have, out and pull the material off and buy my own material to put on it with 3M adhesive spray. They'll do it for me for $150 but maybe if I have it out completely, it could be cheaper. I just don't like leaving my car with anyone for any reason and if it's easy enough to do myself, I'll do it and use the micro suede that KK was talking about.

I think I'll just do one myself and see how it turns out.

I do know from Geno's post that the headliner from a gen 2 in a gen 1 will cause the moon roof opening to be too far rearward... that being said, I know you said you don't have a sunroof, but I wouldnt be suprised if the hole for the dome light would be in a slightly different spot.

Exactly what I'm afraid of and sun visor holes being in different spots.

I did learn an important fact today, I donno if you are doing anything with the sunvisors but I tried to put sunvisors in my car that came from a sunroof car, mine doesnt have a sunroof.... They are no where close to matching the holes. It seems non-sunroofed cars have way wider sun visors.
