Had a Good and a Bad Day at the Track

In two hours we made 9 passes with some breaks.

Geez. I spent seven hours at the track on my last trip just to get two passes, with no break time (sitting in the staging lanes the whole time). The crew at Gateway needs to get their act together it seems.

Well stuck 60's.

I know how the VIIIs stock diff is weird that way. Last time at the track with mine it stuck 3 times and the rest either just spun like on ice immediately, or stuck for maybe 20' just to break loose like I hit ice.

I couldn't swing those 60's though even on the stuck passes.

Pretty damn nice if you ask me. I forgot, is you 98 an LSC?

Yes it is a LSC. I have a 3,800 stall for it and a DD seperator plate for the valve body. A one piece 93 drive shaft and 3:73 gears with Trac/Loc. Plus I planned to have BARRY'S do the exhaust. This was to be a base line to show improvments after modifications. But it set the bar pretty high to start with.

Thanks. Its best run was at 1:32 PM. They opened at noon and started racing about 12:45. We left about 2:30 after which most ran their best time before they closed at 5:00 PM. So I guess the DA got better in the late afternoon.

I remember getting grief from you because my 94 went 14.651 in good air.
I told you, it can and does happen.

I think he was joking. It would run kinda weird with biggest CAM i bet too. lol

Bah. Vic guys run Stage 2 Hitechs. You'd prolly be fine with a cam profile even more agressive than the Cobra cams. How aggressive, I don't know but probably not within your budget anyways. :p
