Greetings from Sweden!

Welcome ... got to love Sweden ... would love to move there ...

Oh say Hi to ABBA for me LOL ... take care and keep posting ...

Love the Cat. Surprise ... who put that there LOL ...

Thanks mate.
I'd love to move to the US (which actually isn't a big problem because I'm a US citizen). But time will tell what I do :)
And ABBA has been greeted from you ;)
Yeah, was abit funny when we saw what has really happened inside the cat!

Take care of that willow green it's not an easy color to find. I had one and loved the color!

I was hoping to find a Deep Jewel Green Mark but meh, the Willow green looks damn good that too.
No worries, the car is in good hands ;)

Well my parents emigrated to Canada in the mid 80's and moved to Texas in the late 80's. I was bron in 92 and they moved back home in 94 because my mother (woman as she is) wanted back to Sweden. :(

Who's Pepps? :) Is he moving from the US to Sweden? If so, why? o.O

Ah, alright! :D
Porn is great! Brings joy and pleasure to the world! What's wrong with that? :) Makes life worth living!

The Silver Bullet, I know what you meant about using the Mark Viii as winter car.
First snow came yesterday and I have fresh studded tires on it with good tread and studs.
I couldn't get anywhere!
This will definetly be interesting winter! And also the upcoming winters when I'll be using my green one! :D

Can give you guys abit of updates.

First off, I'm at the moment collecting some items for the sound system.
I'm going for the swedish brand DLS which makes both SPL and SQ systems and I'm buying SQ stuff for my car. Sound Quality and Marilyn Manson, hmmm. That doesn't fit together. ANYWAY!

Here's what I've bought so far.

A pair of DLS Nordica 6.2 (costs around 700 dollars). What do I need to mount them in the car? It's 6.5's.

For that I bought a decent amplifier, DLS Ultimate A3 (costs abit over 1000 dollars).

And a SQ subwoofer (not a BOOM BOOOM BOOM one but sound quality, there for SQ ;) ) for around 450 dollars
It's a DLS Nordica 12

All that's left for me now is a monoblock for the subwoofer.
And I'm going for the DLS Ultimate A6 (1200watts 1ohm, but I'll be running it in 4ohm so that's 500watts RMS). It's a sound quality monoblock. Perfect for the SQ sub! :)

And other news, the car needs a wash. Badly. But it's till smoking, knocking and going!
It's a battle tank!

That's it for now. If you're interested (which I'm guessing and hoping you are) I'll post pictures of the stereo installation when I come to that :)
Damn this will sound great (hopefully)!

DLS makes some nice stuff. Hard to get out here.

You need somw 6x8 to 6.5" adapters. Ebay is your friend there. Try to find some wood ones as they are stronger and help to produce better midd-bass.

Oh so you guys know about DLS? :)
Gotten lots of great reviews about making great stuff so why not? :)

Well, I have absolutley no idea how to shop things on Ebay. And I doubt there's any 6x8 to 6.5 adapters for sale in Sweden :P

Ah cheers!
Just gotta find out how I pay for it and get it to Sweden. :D
That's the biggest problem with having US cars in Sweden. My father knows how but I live 600 miles away from him at the moment :)

Yeah, I'd roll the backup Mark in the winter if I had the choice, & also didn't have a better winter car... Just incase, wreck a nice Mark VIII & you realize how hard it is to find nice ones out there... especially living in Sweden. So if you do have the choice (which looking at all the cars you and your dad have, you do) I'd garage the Lincolns until spring. :)

I owned 2 T-Birds like yours, both were relatively stock 5.0's though. My gray 88 was my 1st car. Bought it with 89,000 miles on it & I was the 2nd owner, interior was flawless. I sold it with 117,000 3 years later. I loved it however i put way too many stickers on it. I was going through my stickers = horsepower phase!

My 2nd one was my pride & joy. I really loved that car! It was a white 87 with gray interior. Bought it with 83,000 miles on it, bought Pony wheels for it, & spent about 2k in goodies for the car then sold it 4 years later with 147,000 miles!

Either I drive the Lincoln this winter or a Saab 9000.
Lincoln or Saab...
Saab or Lincoln.

You know the obvious choice.
I bought the '95 for a winter beater so ofc I'll use it in the winters.
My T-bird will only be for summer time. Never in hell I'm taking a newly restored to perfect (almost) car out on salty winter roads! :D
But I have to say, drifting around has become economic. No need to put your foot down. Just downshift and slide with the same ammount of throttle! :D

I have some willow green seats if you ever want that color on the inside LOL.

Uuuuugh. I'll pass :D
Weren't the willow green interior very rare?
Probably for a reason

Beautiful rides man!
Really love the white one (although the wheels on the black one was so much hotter) :D

On other note, the DLS Ultimate A3 amp and the DLS Nordica 12" sub arrived today.
Still waiting for the Nordica 6.2 kit and I have to find a DLS A6 amp for the sub :)
Also got my DSLR camera sold and shipped today, wiippii! More money to the Mark!

everyone on this site loves the look of there mark 8 and your saying there ugly!

Actually yes. And I own two of them :D
I like them because they're brilliant cars with one of the greatest engines in the world. And it looks very odd. I like odd looking stuff :)
And because of their looks they're cheap. For the price I get a full luxury 285hp Lincoln in great shape I get a v6 Camaro from the 80's which has been in a barn for 10 years.

Wonderful having a spare parts car as a daily driver.
If every problem would give me a penny I'd be a millionare!

Noticed today I have oil, quite lots of it in the radiator (well actually the uhm .... Idk the english word for it. The expansion thingy, where you fill it with radiator fluid).
Yummy!
And I live almost as far north in Sweden you can get for the moment (studies) and I'd rather not be outside fixing with it. And I am 600 miles from home where all the tools, garage etc is.
Hooray! :D

Todays failure.
I was gonna install the speakers and amplifiers today.
And well, it failed totally. I ended up doing more harm to the car than good.
First off, the "cage" on the 6.5" mids were too big so the door needed cutting.
Then the magnet was too big and I couldn't get the window down.
With those two things fixed my thought was "now it's the easiest part".
The filter that divides the signal to tweeter and to the midbass was too big. No way it could fit in the door. The thing is huge!
In every way the window mechanism hit it.
Next idea was to put the filters in the armrest compartment.
But then I discovered, there is no way to get the wire from battery to amps through the firewall. No way. I bought one of the bigger ones I could find "just because of".
So I gave up and put the doors back together so now I'm in a car without any speakers at all. Sucks alot.
I'll have to do something super serious on the green Mark instead in spring/summer. Which really sucks.
But now I atleast know to disassemble the doors. I sat for half an hour looking for more screws and possible ways to get it loose until I tried lifting it upwards

Anyways, that's my failure of today. Tomorrow I'll change oil and oilfilter.
Shouldn't be any trouble. SHOULDN'T.
But just because I'm 600miles away from my fathers garage everything will go wrong.
