Gran Turismo 5

I rented it on the 24th.:D Still have it.:p I am on level 18. The wife will probably get it for me for X-mas. I couldn't wait that long to play it.:rolleyes:

I like it so far. Pain the arse earning enough credits to buy cars. Found some great deals in the "used car" section. Good place to get cars for one time races.

My favorite rides so far. Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560 & Ferrari 458 Italia fulling up-graded with everything except the 30k engine up-grade. Buick Specail '62used it to win the classic supercar races.

hit level 10 before i went to bed last night. it aint too bad to the gocarts, its 12k even for the beginner if you need cash
 
I am on level 10, I hate starting these games from beginning, but that's the way it goes.

Also have not been able to connect online at all, not even once, keep getting the error that it cant connect to server. Really anoying when it tries and you have to keep answering the pop up box error.

Other than that I have a 65 Cobra 700hp, I love it, turn up the surround and let it rip!!!

I also bought the limited edition so I have some bonus cars that came with that.

I love the go carts also.

Hate the VW bus race, that was a pain and really agrevating.
 
Dangit. Sounds like a fun game. But I don't have any type of game systems. Never been much into video games. To give you an idea of how bad it is, my favorite video game, and the last one I played, was "Yar's Revenge".
 
I got this game yesterday. The best part for me till now is racing online at the nurburgring nordschleife at night... couldn't had felt more realistic. M5 vs modded 370z. Too bad they don't have the damn cts-v.

Oh btw thaywood, seems like you enjoy top gear... they have the top gear test track... just to tease you more.
 
What i don't like about the game is the fact that there is no customization to the body of the cars as far as paint goes and only being able to paint your car the color of another car you have bought, thats what i liked about forza 1, but i do like the ps3 gaming system, however i would love to have forza 3
 
there are many scheduled patches coming, including more damage effects, others are asking for better tire marks when burning out and sliding.

the next patch is due early this month,hopefully this week.

the online thing should be pretty much fixed now,you should be able to get on if your ps3 is indeed connected.

they said they anticipated 500k onliners and were hit with over 1 million in the first day.

they sold 2.4 million copies in 4 days!

Everybody enjoy, and once all the online is worked out and everyone has good cars we will have to form a private lobby to race in for LVC.

i finally got that damn race done. i did the intermediate with the lotus and saw where to push through the corners then went back and did the bus

indeed we need a lvc room. just did some online today for my first time, its ok but are there any rewards? cars money anything? cuz i was winning and didnt get shyt. kinda felt like i waisted a few hours where i could of been doing something

Rewards are said to becoming soon, may even have real money online events,but i dont have the time to commit to that, plus i think you need a wheel/pedal setup to truly compete? maybe not.

It appears the makers are going to back this title for awhile with updates etc.
they spent 5+ years making it,i dont think they plan on doing another one for many years.

I'm so tired of the GT-R. No matter what room you go to, there is always a GT-R. I just don't know if the players actually 'love" the car or just it's abilities.

LINCBRA, do you actually love the car or do you drive it just because it's fast and handles well?

I am mostly driving my modded SVT Cobra R or when needed, Ford GT.:cool:

BTW: I can record if we do decide to do a LVC race.

Level 21 now.

Did the rally events. Talk about easy money. The snow events and paved events are so easy. The dirt event on level 20 does have a few challenges in the first stage and eigth stage. I was so far ahead on time. I just had to finish the last stage to win.

Just bought a Nissan GT-R race car. Going to use it for the race car series events.

I agree about the appearance mods. Would like to be able to do more appearance mods.

The Top Gear events are great. The Lotus event is driving nuts. I just can't seem to be able to catch first place. The Bus and jeep thing are easy. The jeep thing is all about momentum. Carrying speed through the corners. Top speed is only 50mph.:rolleyes:
 
The Lotus on top gear event is a pain. That thing loses control soo easily. Just play it easy and at the end you'll manage to get first because it seems like they slow down near the end so don't quit early on if you're not winning.

I chose the car for all three reasons. I've always wanted the GT-R since before it came out. But unfortunately ,like the GT, I will never own one.
 
@LINCBRA See that's what is confusing with people who drive the GT-R. I think most pick it for the handling and power but few pick it for the "want" factor.

"93mkviii" is my brother and he is the one that did the lap in the GT with the controller.

the snow and dirt rally was cake for me it was the damn tarmac that killed me, gotta take those corners perfect of you fall way behind, you want easy money do the advanced karting its 119k a race ;)

hell i couldnt do the bus till i did it with the lotus first and saw where to push through didnt unlock the jeep thing yet

i got all of the beginner series done and just the one more on the intermediate (i think? the one after beginner) along with alot scattered around.

everyone on here needs to hit me up so we can all race (after christmas) psn id is chickenviii (real original i know) but till then ill be playing battlefield 2
 
I will definitely be buying this soon. I've been looking forward to it for a while now. Plus it will give me something to actually use my PS3 since I normally only use the 360. I do have a question though. What do you guys use for a headset? I had to look it up since I didn't even know if they had them!

I'll buy it sooner if we can have a LVC room but I'm not sure how that would work.
 
I just rented this over the weekend. I'm at level 11 right now. The carts have been the most fun for me so far. I used the cars I'd had luck with in previous GT games. I won the supercar races with an R33. After xmas ill play online but I've got to take the game tomorrow. I think we should def get an lvc race going.
 
A LVC room online would be killer. I just have to figure out how to get online with me PS3.:rolleyes:
