sorry but gm is way better than ford. I love my mark and like the power but for a mustang or any ford to hang with a gm.. they need to have boost, one way or another ford does not have the power gm has.
 
BADA$$, Geno ! I will not be posting any videos of burnout until the damn 4.10's get in there !! :mad: I need to free up that rearend and get the damn posi unit in there ASAP. But there is a list of things to be done before. SOON !

I think you should have a group buy for a complete diff with posi and 4.10's, along with the Denny's driveshafts and sell em for a reasonable price ! LOL. Might not be a bad idea, but maybe a lot of work and time in which you already have none of... :Beer

Yeah, that is what i think every morning when I smoke all of those so called high performance GM's on my way to work. Corvett's, Impala's, Malibu's. No matter what you have, someone always has something faster. But when I am in the Mark, they may be faster, but they are always outclassed. I love it when I am in a parking lot or at the car wash and all of the GM owners go out of their way to come over and comment on just how classy my Mark is.

yea impala's arn't that fast and neither are older vettes.. I was talking mainly about newer gm's.. late 90s trans ams and vettes and ss camaros that stock run mid 13's and a lil work w/o boost can be in the 12's.. you'll never see a mark be in the 12's w/o boost unless you strip the whole car down to a seat, a engine, and a steering wheel.
 
ok, this might sound dumb... but how do u do a burnout? (im 16 and my parents wanna keep me away from the fast stuff but im coming out of my shell. teach me! :) )

you don't know a whole lot about racing do you , you are really comparing a 4200 pound 4.6 to a 3500 pound 5.7
i am not a ford fan and i do think the ls1's are great engines but you could have at least compared the lincoln to a caddy or impala of the same time frame and the vette and camaro to a mustang
 
Ford engines are better look at the specs 4.6L @ 290HP while it takes chevy 5.7L to do 305HP? someone needs better engine design and efficiency and it aint ford :p

You will almost never see a Chevy guy compare cars that are evenly matched. They always want to compare Vetts, Camaro's, and Trans Am's to Mark VIII's. But that is OK. Those of us who know how, do. Those of you who do not know how, brag about what you do not have. I will put my driving skillz up against most drivers out there. I have beaten many cars that should have spanked me only because my skillz are honed. They buy the hardware, but dont have the mental software to get the job done. Yes ladies, sometimes size does not matter.
 
I thought Marks weighed like 3800 pounds, not 4200. Maybe I'm wrong though. Personally, I love my mark, but would love to have a Camaro or Trans Am as well. Plus, I would rather have a manual.

i've always been a mopar fan , but they have never had anything fast to compare with a ford or chevy ...lmao

yea but was that gto stock?how about the mark? I'm not saying ford makes slow cars.. but compared to newer gms ford hasn't caught up.. yea in the 80's and early 90's ford was winning but gm is killing them now... and ford can't come up with a motor that isn't supercharged with power in production cars... the new vette has what 500hp n/a... even if it is a 5.7 l it still woops fords ass.

Actually it takes them 7.0L for 500HP. And another thing ford has going for them is staying in business if gm is so good why is everyone saying they will be bankraupt in 5 years? they already laid off 20,000 employees and have this discount thing going.

BELIEVE me the Guy couldnt drive. My uncle has a bone stock 04' Automatic that went flat 14's.
