good cheap place for oem keyless 97 remotes

I've bought 2 in the last week and they both don't work, wrong FCC ID's or something for the 97's anyone got a spare one laying around or has a good online place that will ship quickly.

I have one at home that works... kinda. I bought it for my 98 cause I like the way the 97 remote looks but man do they suck! I programed a 98 remote to my 97 that worked so much better and *gasp* every time I hit the button it would work!

I hate the peanut remote now. They look nice but really suck.

It was. Now I use it on my 98. I also used the 97s peanut remote on my 98 for a while before I got sick of having to be right next to the car and press the button like 5 times before it would arm or disarm. Plus it killed batteries like crazy. Then I ordered a 20 pack of batteries for it but decided the square remote worked SO much better that I would just use it. Now I have all these batteries and a couple peanut remots laying around. :lol:

interesting... my 93's fob i swapped out the internals to the t-bird case and it now no worky... i just thought it was nice havin the ol ford logo back on my key chain... but nice and not workin... isnt nice

95-98 used the same remote (replacemant) from ford. F8OZ-15K601-AA is the mem 1 and the F8OZ-15K601-BA is the mem 2
both are 55.71 retail and LVC is $46.80.

Where can you buy just the shell? My remote works fine but the part that holds onto the keychain snapped.

Ha! That is identical to my '96 remote. I may have to get one for my wife's '97 LSC. It didn't have one when we got it. We have to either use the key or the keypad to unlock it.

I bought a 93 mark 8, with no key fob and no keyless code (Not on the truck pillar or the air ride module)
where is a good place to get a key fob. auto zone requires u to have the original key fob.. I saw a place selling key fobs on line. but can't recall their name, they where only like 25$

I just bought a new fob for my 97'. It was $57. 86 at my ford dealer. Lincoln dealer wanted $86.31 for the same square remote. Also reprogram the remote yourself from your door. The dealer want $48.
