Thats right, I'm going to look at a 1998 Midnight Grey Metallic LSC tomorrow, one of only 297 made in that color as an LSC. paint code TB as per markviii.org
Its only 2 hours away! 74000 miles, grey interior, I didnt get any pictures and I was wondering if anyone on this forum has one in the same color so I can see what it looks like before I go check it out! please post a pic or send me a PM ... I am thrilled that I found something a little different after I lost out on purchasing a Red 98 CE, the owner sold it out from under me, anyway, that is gone and now this Midnight Grey one popped up and I cannot seem to find a picture of it in that color... anybody?
thanks in advance

hey thanks for the links! that is an awsome color! I cant wait to check it out..hopefully it is as clean as he says...asking $4500

For $4500 it better come with a stack of receipts with lifetime warranties of the things that have been replaced

No worries. It is an awesome color - one of my favorites for sure. Hope the car turns out to be good!

Usually parts with lifetime warrenties suck. The 1-3 year stuff (like most OEM) seems to last longer and work better. I can put a lifetime smell warrenty on a box of chit and sell it to ya. When the smell runs out just bring it back and I will poop in the box for you again. :D

Bastard That is the car I wanted when I found ol Blue. good luck. I'd pay 4500 for a 98 with 74k on the clock.

black ebony whatever. Same color to me. Next to each other they are not I know. Sorry couldn't remember if ebony was 98 or vise versa. I wish I was a MarkVIII God.

no you didnt, because ebony wasnt an interior color in 98!
LOL

hey thanks for all the replies.. good to know there are alot of people out here that like these cars like I do,
Well the guy did state the car was previously owned by the original owner whom was a parapalegic. there were some devices connected to the steering wheel which left an indentation and also some other contraption which did not leave a visible mark, the rest of the car he says is very clean and had been garaged its entire life. the guy who has the car now is a retired cop who obtained a car dealers license so he could attend the auto auctions as a hobby.. so he hasnt registered it... he said if i really liked the car and wanted to buy it that he would make me a great deal...so I'm figuring somewhere around 3800 - 4000 for it. 74000 miles, rare midnight grey metallic... sounds good to me, what do you guys think?
be kind lol thanks

In 30 years the rarity of the color might matter. I paid $2000 for mine with 82K miles on it, and I just saw a 72,000 mile one sell for $2500. If it makes you happy buy it, but I think it is at least $1000 overpriced.

if its clean i'd pay 4k, thats if the hids, neon, blend door acuator and cupholder all work.

LOL

GREAT DEAL.. Wonder if he's going to hand you the keys and say "thanks for the interest in my car, I no longer need it, It's yours! have fun!":D:D or maybe have it go something more like "hey kid, how about you give me like 3K and we'll call it a done deal, one day I may call on you for a favor...":eek:

Sometimes I feel like punching people right in the fn head! I mean seriously! the car was not clean at all, the drivers seat was torn and a patch was glued on it, the roof had been repainted with what look like Krylon spray paint, the engine bay was so dirty and oily it made the gulf coast look clean, the engine shook when it ran and was stumbling, the headliner was torn and a piece of it was missing, there were dents in every body panel, the front grill had paint peeling off of it, the rims were on backwards!! WTF??
All he kept saying is "for a 13 year old car it's pretty clean eh?"
I'm getting tired of this. I really like these cars but finding a nice one around here is really challenging! lol

Hey man how do you think it is up here in Canada trying to find a clean Mark. I looked for close to 9 months and looked at some real dogs as well. Keep looking the right car will show up for you.

Maybe even look way out there and have one of the mebers look at a car near them and if it is good you can fly down and buy it and then drive it back. You could get a southern car and do well with it. You have many options don't give up or settle for something you will end up hating.

Yeah I hear ya, I'm on craigslist every other day or so looking for something, there is a green one with tan interior that just popped up but asking price is way high!
Why does everyone price these cars so high? I know they sold for alot of money 13 years ago but that was 13 years ago lol and they are still stock, I would pay more if they had nice rims, exhaust, chip, etc..
