I am taking off my intake manifold. I've removed the crossover tube, moved the fuel rail out of the way, and removed 10 bolts. Is there something special I need to do to coax this manifold off?

Make sure to unbolt the fuel injector rails pull them up carefully and remove all the injectors be careful of the o rings if all the vacuum lines are removed it should slide forward a little and straight up and out.
You should also replace that one 19Lb injector while your in there.

You may need to give it a tiny nudge with a prybar, not sure if thats your problem, but sometimes the old gaskets make it want to stay in place.

doesnt sound like you got all the bolts, there is more than 10 for sure, take the fuel rail completely off, some of the fuel rail bolts hold the intake down as well. thats funny that the car has 7 24lb injectors and one 19lb, that must have made the car like ass!

I got all the bolts. The fuel rail, I took out the bolts on the side, all of the injectors are out. Do I have to completely remove the fuel rail from the motor? It's still connected in the rear. It just seems like the manifold is on there tight.

I don't know anything abut a 19lb injector. I have whatever is stock.

You don't because that yellow injector shouldn't be there! Get rid of it and get a stock 24lb/hr one! (same as the rest)

it could cause one cylinder to act differently that the rest. all the injectors should be blue, the ornage ones came in the 5 liter mustangs and probably other fords, but they blue is what is supposed to be in there all the way!. give the intake a tap 0r 6 with a rubber mallet, it could be stuck from years of being there!

Ya, I can't see any good coming from running an injector that isn't rated for the engine. Why the hell somebody swapped out a 24lb/hr for a 19lb/hr, I have no idea. Change it anyway.

About an 8% difference in fuel. When all the other cylinders are running @ 14.64 A/F, that cylinder will be around 15.8, a little too lean.

Now it could be some other brand of 24 lb/hr injector, but it sure looks like a 19.

Its a long shot, only if you are 100% sure all the bolts are out. I had one car that the PCV was so bad that the carbon build up in the secondary runners went all the way into the lower manifold and I had to beat the manifold of with a rubber mallet, with extreme malice:D

Man whoever had this car really didn't know what they were doing. In my previous thread, P303 driving me crazy, I couldn't get rid of the cylinder 3 misfire. I tried everything, new plugs, new coils. Nothing worked. Finally I went and got a new injector. The one I took out of cylinder 3 was a yellow injector. Now there is one in cylinder 4. I am thinking this could be the source of my problem. I'm going back to my junkyard spot and take all the injectors from the 97 I've been getting parts from.
