Ford Racing crate Coyote motor

I think peep posting here have to understand this post is about the NEW 5.0 in a mk8. Will someone bite the bullet and who will be the first? (lotto LOL)

Scorpio Also posted about used termi parts. Add up all the tons of parts needed and its not cheap.

Pengun how does 1250HP on a stock 5.0 aluminator engine sound? For 8K:)

Demoman Please show us termi engines that are NOT pricey. And yes a termi would of course be cheaper to plop in a mk8. Cheap is a relative term. :D

Ok so lets say i found a termi motor with sc how much would it be to swap into a mark and what would need to be fabbed and Done?

I'm sure you can find mucho information about swapping the new 5.0 coyote engine into a fox. It''s already been done. 1 month ago, I saw a 2001 bullit with the new coyote engine installed. Of course, he also had hydraboost. There was NO room next to the valve cover.

It's not all about the motor either. Think about for example fuel systems and such. Weither you go 5.0 or termi 4.6 you need a whole new fuel system.
There's lots of side parts that brings up the price. For example swapping in a 5.0. Just think about the headers, probably need them custom fabricated and if you don't know how to do it yourself it's going to be expensive.
Just buying the motor can often be the cheap thing, getting it to work and fitted is the expensive part.

It's always been my dream to install a Termi on the Mark but when the new BOSS 302 came out. Obviously my attention was deviated. It is definitely true that it will take more work but if you are doing any kind of modification in that vicinity you gotta have a nice budget so might as well get a nice BOSS in there.

Someone a few posts up mentioned lottery. That's exactly what we are talking about here. A nice chunk of cash where you don't have to worry. Otherwise I'd just supercharge the current motor & continue dreaming of the newer 302's.

As for the new EcoBoost? I have amazing respect towards that V6. My friend's truck is twin Turbo & it truly hauls @ss. He was walking all over his cousin's TrailBlazer SS. Only problem is... I couldn't fathom the idea of telling ppl my Mark VIII is powered by a twin turbo V6. Sounds too "importy" lol

Termi would be the way to go. For what I have into my motor I could have just bought one. Granted in the end mine will make more power and take more abuse... On paper anyway.
Buy a Termi motor, upgrade the oil pump and rear block plate plus fuel pump then up the boost. Step two would be convert over to e85 and upgrade the total fuel system if you have it in your area. You need a tune of course but I would call it done.
Building a 32v isn't cheap, 4 times the cost on the entire top end and buying or renting some of the tooling to get the machine work done adds cost.
Ecoboost would be badazz! Twin turbo on the 4.6 would be the way to go but I've laid under mine and run out of room every time, if I was serious about going that route I'd just cut into the floor/firewall... Lol.

Has anyone ever put much thought into a remote turbo system like STS offers? Placing the turbochargers where the mufflers go? Or maybe the length of piping is counterproductive as opposed to say an STS in a small little Corvette...

I think a diesel Mark would be a blast...

That 3.5TT would be AWESOME too... Wasn't that the motor they pitched in the MARK X concept?

Someone had started a diy build and lost interest or ran out of money. The problem is you loose efficiency with the turbos so far away, you also have to run scavanger pumps for the oil if I remember right. You still have the issue with getting around the k-member.
I'm sure someone who knows more about turbo setups could be more help.
I would think the rear setup would be less forgiving when it comes to turbo size and lag.

I'm thinking prices will go down...as the yards fill up.

Right now for a simple install a 03/04 pd is a proven way to go.
New 5.0 has a few swap issues.

I have put much thought into it. Much. Just aint feesable. Would have to do a single system because there is not enough room for two exhaust pipes, a return charge pipe and a drive shaft. I want to do it in the worst way but the intake pipe would have to run through the passenger compartment.

Will it convert to the french-fry-smelling stuff? :D

Yea it actually will run on biodiesel. It gets the 69mpg while traveling at 70mph and can go like 2k miles on one tank. And it goes 0-60 in 3.0 I think. Need to make sure but man its awesome. But for like 120k it should be.

BAD thing about biodiesel is if you run it 100% it gels at like 67degrees. Hell even b5 and b20 go before freezing. Least you guys don't have to worry about putting additives in gas everytime. If I get dipped right now ill prolly be screwed because of the red transmission fluid making my diesel look red.
