I have had enough of this chit. Here is a little back ground. I had been buying allot of goodies from Bill at SCP and mentioned once that I needed new UCAs and LCAs and was gonna order from Rock Auto, this was in March this year I believe. He tells me his stuff is better then everyone elses and that he stands behind his products 100% with no issues should I have a warranty claim and that he hasn't had a single claim yet. Well I had spent a couple grand with him and figured why not. I bought everything to overhaul the front end. New UCA's, LCA's, Tie rods, sway links etc etc.

After my first failure I see why he hasn't had a claim, his process sucks.
First my tie rods boots split after a month. I don't mean a little split, they completely split and were just barley hanging on. His fix? Told me to buy the $20 polly boots from him. I went to Autozone and bought the same ES ones for $8.
Second failure. Boot on the UCA ball joint has a crack in it, no noise yet but its a big crack and I have to lube it after it rains.
His fix, pull it off, pay to mail it in, let him inspect it, pay to have a new one mailed back. Now I know with a mail order warranty part you have to sometimes pay shipping one way but they ALWAYS send me the new part if I supply a picture AND he insisted his parts were superior and I wouldn't have these kind of issues. Paying shipping three times and the part purchase puts the cost WAY above the Rock Auto parts plus I cant have my car down for over a week, I live in BFE.
Third failure, I assumed the knocking I heard up front was my sway bar lock callers, it isn't. BOTH sway bar links from him are worn out and very loose.

I am really pissed off that all his crap his total chit. Should have bought from Rock Auto and been done with it.

He has stuff thats been fine, the sway bars are great and all the chassis stuff has worked perfect but I urge anyone not to buy the front end suspension parts, they really really suck.

he doesnt sell moog, trw chassis parts i have learned from so many money saving mistakes in the past i wont put anything on but moog, trw parts. i have been there before too bill its a hard lesson to learn!

I did the same thing, had the same problems, and just bit the bullit. Already replaced LCA's and sway bar end liks with TRW/MOOG. Uppers and tie rod ends are holding up so far, but I plan on changing them soon.

The sway bar end links I got from SCP would not pull into the spindle. I went round and round with Bill over those. I know what I'm doing mechanically so it wasn't user error. Went to O'Really and got MOOGs and they installed with no problems. Shipped Bills back and finally got a refund, less my shipping.

LCAs boots twisted everytime the spindle turned. Wouldn't have been long before they ripped, so I pulled them back off and replaced with MOOG. Those POS LCAs are still in the garage with no refund in sight!

Was going to get some exhaust parts from him but I saw a post about the resonated X pipe rusting out in less than 6 months, and said fuk it. I do have a set of his mufflers I bought last year but they are still in the box.

Got my strut rods from Max for this one. My other 93 has all MOOG, including struts, and has had no problems. Its been to Chicago, Pensacola, Jacksonville, New Orleans and a few other long trips with no issues.

Thats my story. Lesson learned, only MOOG/TRW for me, whatever the cost!

Most of what he sells can be found else where for less money. At least what I looked at. The poly rear spring cups were a third cheaper and a set of polished kooks mufflers with two angle cut 3.5 inch tips I found for $50 less than he did.

Yes you did Frogginator. Why I didnt listen is beyond me...... I may have ordered them before hand or just figured you are a dumb ass. :p Any case I shouldnt have gotten them and will have to replace all of it again soon.

I was also warned about the resonated X pipe and bought it anyway. Lasted all of a month before sounding funky. Replaced it with a regular x-pipe and found a huge crack in the resonated x pipes case.

Joy cause I got a set of LCA's from him but never put them on as it turned out to be the Strut Rob Bushings. Or lack of them that was making all the racket.

Got my 98' and figured I would keep them around for when I needed them but now it looks like I need better ones when the time comes :shifty:

I dont get why anyone would buy anything from him. Service is not that good, based on my personal experience, and the parts can be found cheaper locally or on Rock Auto (never had a bad experience with Rock).

Sorry to hear about your issues though. There are ONLY two ways to go. The first is the TRW/Moog way. As we know they are one in the same for the most part. Then you have the complete opposite end of the scale, which is everything else. There is no middle ground it seems.

rock auto has killer prices on t-bird lowers right now and not bad on t-bird uppers too, when i have the money to order uppers, i am ordering t-bird uppers and welding the height sensor ball on them off the mark VIII uppers, wtf not its worth it to me to save so much money. plus working in a welding shop has its benefits!

I did the samething this past weekend Jamie. Couldn't see spending double to money for 5 mins worth of welding. I got the T-bird uppers, drilled out the spot welds on the hight sensor studs on the original arms, a couple welds later they were on the new arms. Only bad parts is the arms are cast steel which doesn't weld real pretty(at least not for me).

Come to think of it I wish I was still working at some of my old Machine Shops cause I could make myself some Billet ones just cause I can. Years ago I saw a show VW Beetle and a Karmann-Ghia with Complete Billet Floor pans to Suspension. Beautiful cars when they had mirrors under them at the shows.

Hmmm now I'm thinkin of doin stuff that would be a total waste of time but at the same time BE ALL MINE :D

jamie- i have the passanger side upper/lowers if u want them ?
