DDM Tuning

I got mine in about 4 days and I order on a sunday

soo...today I recieved the relay harness...but no lights. Got an email on friday that the lights would be here on thursday...what crappy service..my order was placed on March 1st...

I sure hope the product was worth the wait. :(

sh!t, for the price their HID systems cost, it could take a month and I wouldn't complain.

hey if you got the slim kit, then there is a spot on the bottom of the factory light housing, that is perfect for both the ballast and the igniter to be mounted!

ordered mine last wednesday got 2-3 day shipping almost a week now no tracking number nothing call them up and they tell me they were on back order i told the guy thanx for telling me no email nothing to even say that i assumed that once they didnt come but still. they might be cheap but its kinda odd that i get no tracking number so who knows what day they went out

Loud; I went with a raptor kit...like 49.99? so I think it is the slim kit?

I chose DDM because everyone on here was happy with the kits...I wanna be happy too, but right now I'm not. They make a big deal on thier website about how fast they ship, then it takes 15days to make them, and ship them 1100 miles. :( I think it would have been faster to strap it to a pidgeon and send him my way.

As long as they come to me, and work, I'll be satisfied, but you know how it is when you order something, and expect it to be here in a week....and it takes two and a half....

yea man i know its rough sometimes when you excited about something and it takes forever to get it. dont worry, there coming bro.

the raptors are not the slim kits, but the slim kits are the $49 kits (the raptors are like $29) someone else said that the full size ballast wouldn't fit but i dont know for sure.

so I was wrong, its just the regular kit...I thought I was buying the same one that everyone else had...crap. Hope these are ok, this is my first attempt ever at HID's.

Mine came yesterday. Slim kit looks okay metal casing with DDM molded into it, bulb out warning elimintaors are plastic. The relay harness is okay. I'm not thrilled the fuse holer is not weatherproof. For $100 though if it all works and lasts a good while I'll be happy. I'll probably wait until the weekend to do the install since I want to do it right and hidden.

Just try both cause either way you'll prob have to switch them from the polarity on the hids being reversed. A few have had that happen where it wont turn on and all they have to do is reverse the connections. I did it with my fog projectors too.

bad idea, it says in the instructions for the bulb out warning eliminators that they will/could explode if hooked up with the polarity reversed.

Didn't know that. That can't be good.Who's idea is it to switch the polarity on the kits then?

The kits aren't reversed the car side may be. With incandecent bulbs it makes no difference so Ford does not spend any time making sure they are wired the correct way. If I knew which way they should be I can use a meter to see if the car harness is correct and reverse if need be. If not I will just plug the ballast in and see which way it works first. Had to reverse them on my Mark VIII.

yea it only the "bulb out warning eleminators" that say they can be dammaged.

i just found it funny when the instructions said "make sure to close your hood and stand clear when testing for the first time since reverse polarity can cause an explosion."

That is pretty fecking funny. How in the hell could you stand anywhere near the front of the car, and turn on the headlights? You have to at least be at the driver's door to do that.

Both of my lights were reversed then. Thought it was the kits, thinking if it was ford just throwing them in, atleast one would be right.

funny you say that Pete, i used the remote start, and since it was in the garage, the head lights came right on. I wanted them to power up and be fully on by the time i finished tightening up the last bolt so i could check them out

well, im scheduled for delivery today...hopefully, I can put them in when I get off work. :)
