I just got my oil changed last week and I got the high mileage one. And I hav drove 500 miles since then and I just happen to check my oil level after I got home from my friends and the dip stick said I had no oil in the motor? This is confusing the crap out of me? Any suggestions?

maybe your burning oil? did you pull the stick out, wipe then dip again for an accurate reading? how many litres of oil did you put in? our cars take 6.5 quarts if you went to a lube shop they only supply 5 litres of oil then you have to pay extra for the rest.

Yeah but you cant burn that much oil in a week and come to think of it they only charged me for 5 quarts I think? So maybe that'd why?

My stupid gf threw it away I'm just gonna go up there tomorrow and have them pull it up and see

Might just do that. Now another question my best only works on my defrost and maybe floor no matter what I hit what could that be? And thanks for all the help sorry if I'm asking to much already

Pull your EATC out and check the back to make sure all the lines are connected. If they are, it could be the vacuum line that goes into the passenger side fender. Inside that fender is the vacuum canister but I doubt it's loose inside there. Just check the lines going across the manifold and behind the EATC unit. Seems like there's one under the dash somewhere that's hell to get to. It's not normal for a Gen 1 but the blend door could be shot.

Vacuum leak!

Electronic automatic temperature control.....your climate control unit

The fail safe is defrost. If there is a vacuum leak, or the EATC is not working properly, it defaults to the defroster so you always at least have that. Mine was doing that once and turned out to be the vacuum line connector behind the glove box door. Somehow I had pulled the connection apart when I was doing some stereo work.

If you happen to need a new EATC, let me know, I've got one to sell. It's from a 96, so it's the updated style with the larger, hard buttons that don't break.

I have to pop some of the concole out to get to the bolts cuz there are none on plain view

Yes, it pops out by hand. Simple to do. You have a 94 so yours will be 2 pieces. One goes right around the unit itself and the other is around the shifter and holds the cig lighter and defogger button. Pops right out. Take the EATC bezel off first and that might be enough for you to get to it.

So if there is no vaccum leaks then it is the Eatc? And vow will I tell if there is a vaccum leak?

By finding one loose from one of it's connections. Put it on vent or something and turn the blower down and then start checking. If you find it and get the leak fixed, the vent should swap over to vent from Defroster. Defroster is a safety feature and it goes to that as default and it's usually because of a vacuum leak somewhere. If you swap EATC's make sure to go with the big button style that WILL WORK with your 94.

I think it's a 96 year EATC that works with a blue back on it. Yours should also be blue on the back.

lets start simple, look at the center of the intake there is a small black hard vac line that runs to the passenger fender. check that and see if its broken. if its not pull the eatc (electronic automatic temperature control, by the way) disconnect the vac lines from the back of the eact and with the car running you should get vac on the center hose.

(man am i getting some use of all these old pics ;))

oh and at least 6 qts in a markviii, go in and raise hell cuz the kid obviously didnt check the oil level when he was done, you might get a free change next time
