Eat me. I dont even care (or know) what she looks like but she has taste, skills and is intelligent. Has a car thats as good as or better than my previous Marks so its all pluses in my book. :)
 
Got the Optima battery and the Cobra tray installed yesterday. I keep baking my little battery meter however, so my terminals are currently pissing me off. :mad: I had to turn the ground a bit left because it barely clears the hood. I will be finding some low profile terminals that work soon. The cover is really cool, though. Beautifully machined. Found it from a dude on eBay. He mostly makes them for the 34/78 batteries.

Well Red Tops turned to crap a couple years ago. Failed like crazy. Now they have changed something (no idea what) and from talking on some other forums it seems they have gotten better. I had one back in the day and it kicked ass! Had another one about 3 years ago and it made me want to hit puppies by throwing kittens at them.
Can never keep track. Chit that was once great now sucks and Hyundai sells $60,000 cars now.

they arnt a bad battery. but i like the cca of a duralast gold over the optima. really the only thing from my perspective is that the optima comes with a lesser warranty and its gel filled.

I just got through doing the same on my 96. Set of older diamond audio hex components up front, ran off a 300 x 4 Memphis amp. Rear channels are an older set of Fosgate 5x7 coaxials that I've had laying around. All new wiring for components front and rear if wanted in the future. Crossovers are in the trunk for easy upgrades in the future. No subs presently but I have a pair of matching Memphis 500 watt mono blocks when the time comes. It was a pain to lay in all the wire but worth it once it was finished.

Ya, it's definitely a journey, but as you said, well worth it. And SO much better than having someone else jacking around with your interior. Congrats! :)
