When opening her up to WOT the entire climate control module flashes rapidly and makes a clicking noise... What it the hell

it is a Gen2 climate contol, I'm wondering if the alternator is surging the relay when being pushed so hard

Weirdly enough...the car seems to be total beast when it does it...never felt this much acceleration from it before, and yes I've ran with AC off..this is totally different

What happens, is that when you go WOT, the cabin fan kicks on and sucks outside air into the cabin, therefore creating a partial vacuum in front of the vehicle. As we all know, the less dense the air is, the easier it is for an object to move through it.

Try a WOT with the climate control OFF or better yet, with it removed (at least unplugged). See if your better acceleration correlates. I don't see how it would, though...

Nevermind . I figured it out

the alternator I have is designed for a vehicle with pats...I don't have pats..so it's surging everything

hell, I dunno...I may be wrong

I tried explaining that PATS has fock all to do with it but he don listen.

You should be using a hard button Gen 1 unit, either the old style 95 or the new button style 96. Gen II's climate units are wired a bit differently and will act strangely like yours does. None of what you have mentioned has anything to do with how it is running though.

I've got a 96 unit for sale in the 'For Sale' section if you're interested in going that route...

sapper you cant have a gen 2 eatc in your 93 because if you do it wont work, if it looks like a gen 2 eatc, and it works, than its a 96 eatc, 96 eatc's have the same face plate as a 97-98 but the internals of a 93-95
