That looks like a nice buy...considering it's a lowly base model. ;)

yes, they are halogen headlights.

ford put a ton of halogen headlights in 95 and 96 LSCs after they stopped making the 9500 bulb. i believe the 95s even had a recall where ford pulled a lot of HID housings out for halogens.
the price for a new HID bulb became more than the price for halogen housings that you could buy a bulb for in auto zone for $5.
as a result, many owners opted to ditch the HIDs.

they even developed a halogen headlight housing for the 2nd gen too.
 
No halogen bulbs would work in the HID housing that came on the '96 LSCs?
 
Not really. No. I mean you could probably get a bulb to fit. But the light pattern would be all wrong.

Whoooaaahhh! No, no, no!!! Look at the engine picture. There's old oil residue about an inch below the passenger side valve cover. Also, as mentioned above... That interior doesn't match the "garage kept" 32,000 miles advertised. Body & headlamps look flawless but then again a nice paint job can do that to a car! I suspect the odometer has been swapped!

Yeah exactly..plus a retired old man most likely wouldn't add cobra emblems, aftermarket spark plug covers and drilled and slotted rotors..I.would get a car fax on that thing..
 
This guy had a front end crash and the transmission was apparently not going into gear from what he told via text. He wanted 3K for the car or 1K without the transmission but I guess he wasn't able to sell it as a whole (of course because the price was way too high). Anyways here is the listing, he is selling parts now, so it might be help some members here.
Edit: The interior was grey.

Ugly as sh*t is what it is..ruins the car..the last one I saw in the jy had this same top on it..I thought maybe these cars would be the answer to finding perfect rear window seals..but unfortunately they hacked them up instead to make the top fit flush with the window, I was dissapointed when I ripped that thing off :(
