its looks like some sort of sensor. I never seen it before due to the fact that my other 97 didnt have it. Can someone tell me what it is? what it does?

Yes. You can even remove the square doohickey.

smart A$$, lol just kidding. Actually is this beeping noise that start all on its own all of a sudden, and its coming from inside the dash. Dont know what it is. The guy i bought the car said that it just to have a remote starter could that be making this beeping noise?

no messeges in the messege center. it has me bummed out.
I don't know much about 97's, but I don't think the airbag system is monitored in any way by the message center. Is your airbag light working? i.e. coming on, then going out once car is started? Not flashing at all?

i gotta check that, i havent noticed if the air bag light comes on.
Well it depends if it has the same tone as when you leave the keys in or if you get a warning which is a slightly longer single beep.
If its higher pitch then that then its prolly part of the old remote start system. Most of them have alarms built into them and it may be just that. 99% out there will hide that box under or around the steering coulm. Should be easy to identify the aftermarket piece. Just dissconnect it. :shrug:

take it out and replace it with a xm anttena it will cover the hole just right

Go figure dude, you just answered my question. I don't have that little block on the glass but I do have the cable hanging & I truly thought it was some retard that owned the car before & had a TV hanging from the back. It looks like a TV cable. Well, now I know, all I have to do is tuck it into the headliner & that's that. Cool!

Man,that's Big Brother dude! That little hole? A camera! When you see one on the rear window, there's usually another one in behind the dash. My advice to you is take it out immediately, but don't stop there. Tear your dash apart till you find the other one, then get back to me...just another concerned citizen trying to help.

I thought at first that it as some type of sensor....lol!!! big blocky looking thing. Im pretty sure that ford could of thought of some better way to mount that phone antena.....lol!!!
