was in drive thru idle when i smelled something burning, couldnt tell if electrical or oil. car dies and i restart, it dies right after i start it.

go to walmart get starter fluid, and it almost turns over. towed it to automotive place. first thought is it isnt getting gas, but just replaced fuel pump last year.

was a little above half. when trying to start w fluid it was going through the roof tho

Turns out it is the accelerator variable unit. Like right by the radiator. Hopefully the one off the 95 will fit my 93, apparently they have to splice like 20 wires.

anyone know or have an idea what this thing is?

Why in God's name did you report your own post? That does nothing but alert mods and administrators to a problem.

Okay my question is why did this thing crap it self? A short in some other wires or just age?

He showed it to me when he was here for some work this weekend. Thing had four posts melted together. Had to be a loose connection that arced and melted then allowed 4 contacts to touch. It happens.

Now he should post some pics of the car cause its a pretty sweet Mark.

working on a pic right now. just washed the car and took a pic in the light. wish you could hear pictures though =\

Sapper showed me one of your texts, I almost shot soda out of my nose.

I take it you are happy with it now?
