So as you can see it is a nice car but is dirty so once I complete my lists of mods a good detail will be in order.
Mods Will be :
Set of 18x8-18x9.5 tsw wheels
Magnaflow xpipe muffler with 2.5in pipe (not sure if I will run rear mufflers or not yet)
04 cobra diff with matching axles and poly diff mounts
04 shocks
Cobra brakes all around
1 piece driveshaft (just a 93 one)
Window tint (limo on rear not sure on side yet)
Lowered sensor for now until after then asham8 (don't want to risk air ride issues on tour)

Looks like ya got yaself a fun project.

What tires are you planning on running on those wheels? I have 18x8's and have 245/45 on all 4's I would like to see if a 255 or even better a 265 would fit.

I have the stock exhaust setup minus the 3rd cat and the rear mufflers. I just straight piped them. It sounds tremendous! I would suggest trying it without the mufflers and see what you like. If you dont like it then buy what you want. Just a quick money saving tip.

I bought 4 brand new 245 45 18's for 200 from my buddy so I will run them on tour. since I will more than likely do at least one burn out :) I'll replace the the rear later with a 285 or 305 depending what I fit. As far as the exhaust I think that is what I am gonna do, I want it kinda loud on tour to help stop the :q:q:q:q from guys for driving a Lincoln on the tour:)

nice car, i hate to throw a wrench in your engine but 245's out back with 9.5" wheels that wide is not very safe, you'll be riding on the sidewall. 275/40r18 or wider you'll be in the zone!

Do I spy a Couger vert?

You picked up a nice mark from your pop... red/black = win

69 cougar coupe red with white vinyl top and white interior from AZ

I wish it was black so bad!

I think it will be plenty safe its only a half inch off recommended
Wheel width

my dad has one of those! somewhere...

that one is my dads, I have it to to do some repairs/ maintance. I have a 68 that I am doing a protouring/restomod thing too.

The 245's are safe and work ok they just don't look as good as a 275+:(

I have 275's on the rear and 245's on the front and I hate how the front's look with the 9" wide rim, I wish they made Saleens 8" wide in our bolt pattern

I'd have to compare spindles to be sure, but it's either...

1) nothing...

2) was cheaper to make the adapters....

3) that not only do the calipers need moved away from the axle centerline, but also left/right as measured from the hub. (ei, the distance from the hub to the caliper bracket mount may be different between the Mark and Cobra.

got my driveshaft today, Dropped it off at the driveline shop having it checked for balance and so I figured what the hell and had both u joints replaced (they charge 8 bucks to do it for you ) with new spicer joints and having the flanged swapped to the one needed for my 04 cobra center section. So now the only things I don't have are adapter brackets (making them) and window tint (scheduled for sat but might have to bump it to next week) and the re-flash for the gears and up the line pressure.

Anyone know what is good as far a bumping the line pressure?

Got the driveshaft back yesterday, Received my Exhaust from mandrel bent.com today. Also sea foamed the car today.

Also checked my neon and found that it does not blink when unplugged and I have power at the center wire. I think I have a bad bulb as I can see something sagging down from the top on the drivers side.... Ideas?

Oh also few quick q's
What are the preferred plugs for cop cars?
What do the 4v's like (5/20 10/30 etc)
Once I have my rear pumpkin swapped I am have a flash done for the speed cal he is also going to adjust the shift points a tad and bump line pressure. Being a 98 is there a psi I should ask for or....?

SO looking at this link http://home.comcast.net/~dlfraleigh/Article.html
I don't see a answer to my question. Why can't I just buy loaded cobra calipers that come with the brackets instead of grinding on the mk8's calipers?

Since I wrote that article, let's see if I can update the info.

1. The parking brake cable comes out the opposite way on the Cobra rear calipers and attaches differently.

2. Cobra calipers won't line up with the Cobra rotors when installed on the Mark VIII Knuckles.

3. You already own the Mark VIII calipers.

4. The Mark VIII calipers have a larger pad, and more swept area.

;)

Cool, always wondered about that. I think number 4 is most important though. Guess I know what I will be doing this time around. Thanks mang. :)

ok So got the cobra irs apart, got the mk8 apart and after a TON of fighting with one of each the cobra and mk8s axles I finely got them both ready to reinstall once I build the brake bracket.
Once I got under the car I realized that I am most likely still going to need to take he car to the exhaust shop even though I bought the magnaflow x muff and cat back as it looks like I am still going to need a small section made ahead of the muff
